Get ready to rumble! Funko to release WWE Mystery Minis & new Pop! figures
Just when you thought Funko's Mystery Minis line couldn't get any more exciting, the company devotes a series to the WWE! Additionally, the company plans to release (a depressingly non-oversized) Andre the Giant, Sting, and the Bella Twins as Pop! figures.
As you've probably already guessed, I'm most excited for the new Mystery Minis set. The line-up features past and present superstars (or "sports entertainers" or, as we used to call them, "wrestlers") including what may be among the last Hulk Hogan collectibles that we'll see for a while since the WWE severed all ties with him over racist remarks made in a leaked sex tape.
The line-up consists of Hulk "Erased from the WWE Hall of Fame" Hogan, Ric Flair, Daniel Bryan, The Rock (or Dwayne Johnson), Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker, Andre the Giant, Iron Shiek, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, John Cena, and George "the Animal" Steele. It's a great-looking selection and I expect that I'll probably be picking up a few boxes (and, with any luck, the Iron Sheik will be in one of them and Hogan in another). All 12 are listed as having equal rarity.
In addition to the Pop!s and Mystery Minis, Funko is releasing Pocket Pop! Keychain versions of Hulk Hogan and John Cena. The Pocket Pop! Keychains are slated for an October release alongside the Mystery Minis while the full-sized Pop!s will hit shelves a month earlier in September.

Wonder Festival 2015 Summer: Ques Q
It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that a figure company which basically takes garage kits and gives them a PVC release is going really heavily into the KanKolle boat. After all, if the whole community is pretty much churning out an insane number of KanKolle kits, that kinda limits what Ques Q can put out!
As a result, much of what was seen at their booth with have a "marmite" feel to it. You will either love it to bits and prepare to raid your wallets or (like me), you'll despair, crawl into a ball in the corner of the room and cry. OK, maybe not that far but you don't have to wade through the dealer floor coverage! I guess Atago and Kongou look kinda cool though.
Having said that, it wasn't exclusively all KanKolle. while there weren't really any other prototypes on show, there were some placeholders for future releases for Labrys from Persona 4 Arena, the new Lancer from Fate/Grand Order and Silvia from Rage of Bahamut! There was also a large (and very expensive) figure of a mecha from Samurai 7. Remember that anime?
All in all, there's plenty to like for KanKolle fans but otherwise, we'll have to wait a while for a broader selection of figures. Lets also hope that Ques Q fix their pricing for their items as well too. ¥10,000+ for a 1/8 scale figure is a bit much!

Everything You Wanted to Know About Limited Edition Figures… but were afraid to ask
Webster’s Dictionary defines limited edition as “an issue of something collectible (as books, prints, or medals) that is advertised to be limited to a relatively small number of copies”. Unfortunately, the definition of small amount of copies leaves a lot open to interpretation. I’m a black and white kind of guy, and I really appreciate […]
