New DCC includes Batman/Catwoman kiss, Super Best Friends
IGN has received a sneak peek at DC Collectibles' upcoming Batman: Hush Batman & Catwoman Kiss statue, Super Best Friends Forever statues, a new Shazam figure, and Crime Syndicate figures.
The most eye-catching of these new items might be the Batman: Hush Batman & Catwoman Kiss statue, based on Jim Lee's illustrations in the story arc which premiered a new villain (Hush) while pushing a relationship between Batman and Catwoman. The sculpting on this one is superb, as both Catwoman and Batman (who looks a little disinterested...) came out great, with a cool flapping cape effect. The statue stands approximately 11-inches tall and is slated for a January release with a US$250 list price.
The super-heroines of Super Best Friends Forever --- Batgirl, Supergirl, and Wonder Girl --- are receiving 'new' statues that feature "Super Secret Storage Boxes". The three feature the same sculpts as the SDCC-exclusive versions but seem to include alternate heads as well as a base with a compartment to store them. They're slated to release in December and have a US$25 list price.
The Crime Syndicate is entering DC Collectibles 6.75-inch line with Ultraman, Superwoman, and Power Ring getting figures. The Syndicate is apparently the focus of an upcoming storyline entitled Forever Evil which pits the likes of Lex Luthor, Sinestro, Black Adam, and other villains against the evil parallel-Earth counterparts of the Justice League. They're slated to release in February and will each have a US$25 list price.
Last and, in this instance, also least is a 6.75-inch New 52 Shazam figure. Something looks seriously odd about this one and, unless this is a really bad image, it doesn't seem to be quite up the line's usual standards. He's slated to release in December for US$25.

Tomopop Review: Looksi Pups Kennel
You know, this is something I definitely wish we had when I was growing up. Back in my day we had Tamagotchi and Digimon little keychain virtual pets, but nothing like this. Looksi Pups is an app that you can get on your iPhone or iPod Touch and raise your own little puppy. They're modeled in 3D so you get a more realistic experience, without actually having to clean up its poop in real life.
