Tomopop Interview: Renegadecow
Carlos, better known as renegadecow, is the creator of some of my favorite pieces of My Little Pony artwork that I have seen in recent years. These automaton creations are so incredibly creative, and so well executed, that I just can't believe my eyes. He creates them out of a beautiful Philippine mahogany, then uses Narra hardwood for the gears, levers, and other small pieces. Each piece has its own little surprises, and things you'll just have to see yourself to believe.
Hit the jump to take a closer look at all of the automaton pieces with both photos and videos, and hear from the man himself about what goes into this work!

Disney's Animal Kingdom to sell custom Vinylmations
April 22 marks the 15th anniversary of Disney's Animal Kingdom park and, in celebration, new merchandise is being released. Among the bunch, the most interesting for toy collectors will surely be the one of a kind Vinylmation figures, customized by artists such as Brian Blackmore (his contribution is in the header). Others include Javier Soto's Yeti custom, John Henselmeier's Mickey in safari gear, Adrianne Draude's Mickey in a jungle of animals, along with the zebra and baby dinosaur customs, both by Maria Clapsis.
The figures can be purchased at the Creature Comforts store in Animal Kingdom on April 22.

Luis Meets Catwoman!
Check out these totally fun photos a friend of ours shared with us on one of our BAT-BLOG FACEBOOK pages. His name is Luis and he recently got to meet Catwoman!
Actually, he met Lee Merriwether, the Actress who played Catwoman in the 1960's BATMAN Movie. WOW! She still looks great! Plus, I've heard from many different sources that she's a really sweet lady, that's cool. I hope to get a chance to meet her someday. ( Thanks Luis )
Breaking News - SUPERMAN has Been Spotted at Cleveland Airport in Ohio!
OK, I know this is not completely "Batman-related" but it's still pretty cool! Here's a photo of an amazing SUPERMAN Display taken by Writer/Author Brad Meltzer at the Cleveland Airport. Click on it for a larger, more detailed, version.
Since it's the 75th Anniversary of Action Comics #1 ( Very first appearance of Superman ) they're celebrating the fact that Superman was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, who were both high school students in Cleveland, Ohio. Awesome!
BATMAN, ROBIN, BATGIRL, and CATWOMAN - Costume Cosplay Done Right!
Here lately we have been celebrating the Sub-Culture known as Cosplay. I have to say that I totally love the dedication, creativity and fun that go into making these costumes. These people are very serious! Here are some great examples:
First, we have Todd and Joseph who each, individually, sent us a photo (at FACEBOOK ) of their costumes that celebrate the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series. Todd is seen as Adam West's Batman. Then, Joseph is Robin, The Boy Wonder!! Awesome.
Next, are 2 photos I randomly came across on the web. The first is this totally incredible BATGIRL Bat-Suit. I love everything about it, very well done. Then, check out this Catwoman Costume. It's the 1940's Golden Age version, one of my favorites. Both of these Ladies did these costumes right!
Thanks to everybody who have been sharing their pics lately, if you have a pic you'd like to share our email button is always on the top right-hand side of this page, thanks!

While surfing the wacky-crazy Interwebs the other night I came across a Credit Card Company called MyPLASH and they have some pretty cool Mastercard Debit Cards with images of BATMAN and THE JOKER! In fact, there are ten different designs to choose from (The BAT-SYMBOL LOGO is my favorite, it just seems more "official", ha ha! ). Please be sure to click ON the above image for a larger picture. The graphics are nice!

Tomopop Review: Build-a-Bear My Little Pony Plushies
When I first posted about My Little Pony invading Build-A-Bear Workshops around the country, I was so insanely excited. I frequently visit the shops to collect the limited edition Hello Kitty plushies they put out every so often, so I was already aware the the quality on those were quite good.
We learned that Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash were going to be the first two ponies we'd see, but Build-A-Bear is currently running a survey on their Facebook to see who you would want to see next! (Psst! Vote Rarity!) Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's hit the jump to see how these two ended up coming out!
