The Legend of Cage: You’ve Met with a Terrible Face, Haven’t You?
From easily one of my favorite Youtubers Criken comes a modded version of Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask in which multiple textures in the game have been replaced with Nicolas Cage’s face. I’m not sure I’ve seen anything as terrifying as the traveling mask salesman with Cage’s face. Truly disturbing.
Criken continuously puts out hilarious videos. If you aren’t following him on Twitter and Youtube, you should be.
Who could not like a guy that puts out this type of great content? Apparently the mod will be released at some point.

Retro-Style CATWOMAN BARBIE DOLL Batman Wallpapers
You know, "Batman Toy News" has been pretty slow lately. Plus, I was really bored the other night, ha! So, I made these 2 CATWOMAN BARBIE Wallpapers you can use to brighten your desktop. Of course this is the Retro-Style "Classic 1966 Batman TV Series" Barbie Doll that Mattel has plans on releasing in 2013. I thought these were kind of fun! Hope you like them.

Vintage 1970's BATMAN Toys and Memorabilia Reference
First up is an amazing example of Bat-Merchandising, a DC COMICS SUPERHERO PROMO GLASSES Fast Food Restaurant Store Display Poster featuring Batgirl! I remember when these "Pepsi Moon Glasses" came out and I totally loved them. In fact, I have a complete set of these babies somewhere deep in storage. The set took me forever to complete (this was before evil eBay ).
Then, here's a vintage copy of COMIC READER Magazine from August 1974. I said "magazine", but these were really more like small mini newspapers. When I was a little kid, maybe 11 or 12, I used to shop at a comic book store called, "Down Memory Lane". I always loved that name. Anyways, the Owner was a really nice guy and used to throw one of these in my bag for free on every visit.
The next 2 photos are some small mini-comics that were Free Comic Book Premiums hidden inside Post Cereal Boxes back in 1979. I have that 1st one in my collection and the 2nd one is a photo sent to me by a friend named Mike ( Thanks Mike! ).
OK, are you ready? This last toy is probably the rarest of them all, a true "Museum Piece", as Toy Collectors say. Here is a BATMAN COLOR DOUGH MOLDING MACHINE Set in the original Box. No, I don't own this. This is a random pic i found on eBay many years ago and I have not seen since. I'm not sure of it's origin. It might be British or Canadian. I'm thinking it might be "foreign" because it's so hard to find.

MegaCon 2013: Huge Success
I spent my entire weekend attending this year’s biggest/bestest Florida multi-genre convention, MegaCon, and I’m broke, exhausted, and super happy. MegaCon is the place to be for sci-fi, anime, comic book, fantasy, and gaming communities to meet up, hang out, see celebrities, spend money, and have fun. This year’s event was absolutely nothing short of spectacular.
Previous years have seen celebrities like Stan Lee and William Shatner come out and meet with con guests, but this year’s convention was the ultimate package. Folks had the opportunity to meet the entire original Star Trek: The Next Generation cast, including Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn, and Will Wheaton. Voice actors Tara Strong and Vic Mignogna, comic book illustrator/writers Frank Cho, George Perez, Neal Adams, Clay Mann, and Steve McNiven, and star of the original Incredible Hulk television series Lou Ferrigno, were also in attendance, among other handfuls of guests and stars.
The real attraction here are the fans themselves — I saw some of the greatest cosplays I’ve ever laid eyes on over the past three days (we’ll be posting those photos later). A big sense of community was felt throughout the convention, even if some of that community were a tad bit irritating to walk by in a crowded dealer’s room. I attended a few panels (in which were very well put together and executed), purchased goods I’ve had an eye on, met new artists and creative people in the Artist Alley, talked with strangers about a favorite heroes and comic titles, and locked eyes with some celebrities I’d never thought I’d see.
Seriously, MegaCon is one of the best conventions you can attend in the south of the nation. Florida has something special here. If you missed out this year, you have truly missed out on a fantastic time.

Things I Bought At MegaCon: Day 3 Yo, I’m not gonna lie...
Things I Bought At MegaCon: Day 3
Yo, I’m not gonna lie right now, I’m pretty fucking broke and upset with myself. I walked into the convention with $80 in my wallet and I don’t know where half of it went. This article isn’t helping me, either. This listing things I bought thing was a stupid idea.
First four rows of photos, comics: Obviously. I walked into this booth and say signs that read “Batman issues, 6 issues for $5.” Then I turned around and read “Marvel annual issues, 6 for $5.” Then I turned to the right and read four more signs along the same lines as the first two. Then I looked down and shit was literally oozing from my pant legs from excitement.
Most comic booths have a lot of shit they need to get rid of on Sunday night. Mainly because 1. They want last minute profit, and 2. They don’t want to carry boxes of shit that won’t sell back to their trucks. Usually on the final days of conventions, these booths do deep discounts on single issues/trade paper backs to lift some of that weight off. I would’ve been in heaven today if I hadn’t decided to spend all my fucking money on Friday and Saturday and saved it for comics today.
But I got some good steals. I spent $13 total for that stack of comics I got. The dealer sold me the comics at half price, meaning I was getting about 6 issues of random Batman, X-Men, Maxx, and other stuff for $2.50. Solid steals. I got the first issue of Ren & Stimpy and a couple of issues of Batman’s Knightfall storyline.
Fifth row, buttons: I don’t know what to say other than I really spent $5 on some fucking buttons.
Sixth row, the only thing I can say that was 100% worth it: a commission piece of Waka Flocka Flame. I asked this dude named Josh Hoye if he did commissions. He said yeah. I asked him if he could do something not really con-related. He said yeah. I said can you draw Waka Flocka Flame for me and ink it? He said yeah. So $30 later, here it is.
Friday I spent $76. Yesterday I spent $78. Today I spent $48. Tally that up and I spent a total of…$202…
But wait. Let’s count the food I paid for ($10 pizzas from Papa Johns that were less than 11 inches), parking, drinks, and change to hand to friends when they needed an extra buck or two. Now the total comes to about…
Three-hundred-fucking-dollars-are-you-fucking-kidding-me. I spent $300 at MegaCon. What the fuck.
