Solid Snake Amigurumi Plush

You know, I’ve seen a lot of these plushies on Etsy before, but this one really takes the cake for being a stray from the norm. It’s pretty easy making a Mario plush or a more recognizable anime or Nintendo character, but Etsy store PixelBlock decided to go above and beyond that and create awesome Solid Snake Amigurumi plushes. Kudos to them because this 5 1/2 inch plush is really badass.

Disney Sofia the First Exclusive 6 Piece PVC Figurine Set

Disney Sofia the First Exclusive 6 Piece PVC Figurine Set My two daughters (ages 3 and 5) really love the new Sofia The First TV Series. It is a cute story with cute characters. I would say it is geared towards younger, Disney Junior age kids due to the simple story and ages of the main characters. It is nice to finally have a Princess series on the Disney Channel for my girls to look forward to watching every week. This set is a great figurine set for the girls to play with. There aren't too many Sofia The First toys out there yet and this is a great one to start with. It comes with Sofia, Sofia's stepbrother Prince James and stepsister Princess Amber, the Fairies who teach at Royal Prep Academy (Sofia's new school), and some of Sofia's animal friends. It is a well made, quality set and the figurines seem pretty sturdy. My girls love playing with these and love using them for pretend play while acting out the shows. The one problem is that sellers on Amazon are selling this set for more than $25. We purchased the same exact set at the Disney Store in the mall for $12.50, which is the normal price for all of the Disney figurine sets. If you have a Disney Store near you, it is a much better deal there. That being said, it is a great set and highly recommended however you acquire it. Five Stars! -- By By Dre

Kotobukiya's Black Magician Girl casts a spell

Kotobukiya's Black Magician Girl casts a spell screenshot

I always thought the card designs in Yu-Gi-Oh! to be something more of a monstrous nature, what with your Kuriboh and your Blue-Eyes White Dragon.  Along comes Kotobukiya's Cu-Poche Black Magician Girl, however, and I'm suddenly seeing the game and anime in a whole new light. We got a glimpse of this figure previously at the recent Wonder Festival in Japan but it was only a few days ago that the company posted a full Facebook album dedicated to the adorable spell caster.

According to the page, the Cu-Poche Black Magician Girl will feature 13 points of articulation for all your posing needs, along with magnets in her feet and base for stability. She'll come with three different facial expressions (smiling, winking, and surprised) plus her hat, wand, and magic book. Kotobukiya has her listed as an August 2013 release.

Anyone planning on adding her to their deck?

Posted on the 3A Toys-blog is this news-nugget:
"ThreeA is proud to announce it’s collaboration with Marvel Comics. That’s right! The house of ideas that is Marvel Comics and ThreeA, are putting their combined talents together to bring you one epic line of 1/6 figures.

The line will consist of classic Marvel characters re-imagined by artist Ashley Wood in the ThreeA style. All the Marvel goodness that you already know and love, with an extra added twist. Releases will start in 2013.
"

I kinda like the words "RE-IMAGINED" = because what is the point of recreating imagery already seen in the comicbook and movies? Sorta like a factory-production/manufacturing showcase and not "design", innit? Fond memories of the ZAKU and conversations I still have with friends, so here's looking forward to what 3A has to offer! Any particular picks from you, dear readers?

No images exist yet for this 'announcement' - nevertheless shown below is a montage I made of cover-art for Ghost Rider 2099, Doom 2099 and even an X-Men cover, all done by Mr Wood for Marvel Comics over a decade back! I'm down for a "Ghost Rider" (with a 1/6 motorbike from Hell, of course)! LOL
