Takara adds Grimlock and Ratbat to their Generations line
When Takara Tomy last year announced they were going to start a Transformers: Generations line of their own (formerly United and Henkei! Henkei!) it was only a matter of time before Hasbro's upcoming showstopper, Grimlock, made his way to Japan! The Takara version is looking pretty close to the Hasbro version which already uses shiny gray and gold plastic which should have a fairly similar effect as the glossy coating found on Takara's Generations figures. If you want to save some money you could probably pass on Takara's Grimlock since Hasbro's version will likely blend in with Takara's Generations line nicely.
What we haven't seen before is Takara's line-exclusive (for now?) take on Ratbat! This is a repeat appearance for Ratbat as we've already seen him appear as a transforming 'data disk' for use with Soundwave. This new figure is deluxe scale and a repaint of a previous Scourge figure. He appears to have a new head, and although blurry, looks to be based on his appearance in the Megatron Origin comic from IDW. This is the first figure for Takara's line that isn't based on a Fall of Cybertron character (directly or indirectly) and may be a welcome sign of things to come for the future of the line.
Japanese pre-orders haven't officially started yet, but TFSource and Big Bad Toy Store are both taking pre-orders now for a June release. When Japanese orders to begin you'll want to jump on these quickly, previous releases sold out in pre-order very quickly.

New BATMAN 1966 BATMOBILE CAR Cuff Links Set by DC Comics Originals
Check out these pics sent to us by our good buddy, BatmoBilly. He's a very serious Batman Toy Collector who's main focus is the "Batmobile Car". He said he just saw these starting to surface on eBay & decided to share the information ( Thanks BatmoBilly ).
Here are some Batman Cuff Links made by DC Comics Originals. Of course they are the 1966 Batman TV Show Batmobile, the one designed by George Barris. Hmmm, I don't usually wear dress shirts but these are kinda cool. What do you think? Please leave a comment either here or on our Facebook page, thanks.
Brand-New BATMAN DC COMICS Toys and Merchandise Coming Out Soon - Made By Funko
Then, I discovered a few more brand-new Batman items that are coming out in early 2013 ( To be exact - Jan, Feb, & March ). First, there's this Batman Character Lamp. I wish this thing was HUGE, that would be way cooler, but these are really kinda small. But they're great for a little Kid's bedroom or an Adult's Office Space.
Next up is one of those POP! Heroes Figures but this one is a USB / MP3 Audio Speaker that you can hook-up to your iPod, iPhone, or MP3 Player.
The next 2 pics show an unusual item coming out too. These are some POP! Heroes Figures that are a mash-up between DOMO & Batman. They're called ( Duh! ) "Domo Batman" and "Domo Dark Knight". I actually kind of like the blue version.
OK, the last 2 photos here are an item that's been out awhile, the DC Universe Mini-Wacky Wobblers 4-Pack, and a prototype graphics for some future items. We have featured the mini-wobblers here a few months ago but this pic shows the packaging & I can't remember if we had a picture of the box from back then.
Then, here's that 2nd set of items I'm talking about, the Wisecrackers Statues. Anyone who grew-up in the 1960's or 70's might remember these weird statues. They usually had a generic super-cute character with a phrase on the base that said something dumb like, "I Wuv You This Much" ( and their arms would be wide open, ha ha ).
Well, Funko has plans to make some based on DC Comics Superheroes & Villains ( they have already released some Star Wars ones, they're adorable in a very sick twisted way). Oh yeah, I guess they're making MARVEL Comics characters too because there's the Amazing Spider-Man, ha ha!

Cris Rose's factory expands with Reclamation Drones
Cris Rose's robot workshop is churning out a brand new line to kick out 2013. Well, sort of. He's taking his robot designs to the Android designer toy platform with Reclamation Drones, a resin/vinyl custom series. Limited to 20 pieces for Edition B, this series features three designs in flame orange: Overseer (one eye), Recycler (two eyes) and the new Wide Angle (three eyes). Cris is also using "Choose Your Own Ratio" for this release, meaning you get to pick whatever sculpt you want.
Want one? They'll be in his store for US$80 at 6 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. Eastern, 10 a.m. Pacific) on Monday, Jan. 14. I love the way these look and I might have to pick one up. What about you?

Under the Radar: Kotobukiya's Kuroko no Basket One Coin
Among the many anime series that I watched last year there was one particular show that quickly became my favorite, Kuroko no Basket. I've always been fond of sports related anime, and Kuroko no Basket, quickly rose to the top of my list. I'm not going to lie; watching sweaty bishounen's play basketball was a nice perk. Lucky for me, Kotobukiya seems to be a fan of the show as well, adding the boys to their one coin series.
The set of nine minis will feature players from Seirin High, as well as, the "Generation of Miracles." The lineup includes Taiga Kagami, Junpei Hyuuga, Ryota Kise, Shintaro Midorima, Kazunari Takao, Daiki Aomine, Atsushi Murasakibara, Sejuro Akashi, and of course, the "phantom" sixth member of the "Generation of Miracles," Tetsuya Kuroko. Although the boys are still unpainted they are definitely looking quite adorable, I especially love that silly grin on Kagami's face. It's pretty hard to resist Bakagami (Kagami).
Even though, pre-orders for Kuroko and co slipped under the radar don't fret these cuties are still available. The set will set you back ¥4,950, but you will have a chance to save up for a couple of months with a July release.
