All CATS custom Dunny and print sale for injured animal!
Have you ever had an unexpected run in with needing to care for an animal in need, but knew you wouldn't be able to afford it? Artist Tim Munz has done just that, and here's what he originally posted on the Kidrobot forums.
“A couple of weeks ago, my girlfriend and I heard what sounded like a cat in severe pain coming from the back of our house. It turned out to be a young cat that had previously visited us on more than one occasion. The very next day I took her to the vet where they found that a portion of her back had been smashed in (most likely by a car). The only hope she had for survival was an emergency (and pricey) operation. Right away we attempted to find the owner to no avail. So needless to say, we were caught between a rock and a hard place. It was either give the go ahead on the surgery and promise to pay the bill in full, or pay to have her put down. We decided to help give her a second chance, and with your help, we’ll be able to pay back the vet and continue to do whatever we can to get her back on her feet.”
While this was obviously an amazingly kind deed, even those of us without pets know that vet bills can be incredibly pricey. RunDMB, Betso, Igor Ventura, Map-Map, Maucha, Luihz Unreal and Tim Munz are creating ten custom Dunnys to sell for US$75 (US$78 shipped internationally). Pause Designs created an illustration and Tim Munz printed 120 total postcards to sell and give to participants. There are also random prizes for those who buy from the cause. You can currently purchase the print for US$12 in the MW Shop, and follow @MWSERIES3 on twitter to hear when the blind boxes are available.

Weekend Film Fest 1/7
It’s the first ALBOTAS Weekend Film Fest of 2012 and I’ve got some hilarious videos I came across during the week.
First up is an important message from Guy Ritchie film regular, Vinnie Jones:
Earlier this week it was revealed that Bioware’s The Old Republic has a hilarious gameplay glitch:
And that brings us to the main feature. Lee Hardcastle remade John Carpenter’s The Thing with claymation penguins:
Catch you next week! And if you have any video suggestions send them to pixeldripgallery@gmail.com.

Vamplets to get horrifyingly cute pets
Vamplets, those vampiric plush dolls in diapers, announced via their FaceBook page that a new line of toys will be produced, "VamPets," the pets to the blood-sucking babies. The two pets announced were the Zombie Guinea Pig and the Wereroach. Even if you don't have one of the Vamplets babies, the VamPets have a charm all their own. These plushes are just bursting at the seams with gothic goodness! Both of these creatures have been teased for a while now; the Wereroach can been spotted scurrying across the floors of the Vamplets' Hall of Horrors and the Zombie Guinea Pig was a prize in a recent Facebook contest.
The VamPets are not yet available for purchase but, hopefully, the wait won't be too long. For the time being, quench your thirst for adorable vampire goodness with this unboxing video of some of the original Vamplets plushes!

Mirai Suenaga in Mayo Chiki!
A Summary on all the cameo appearances that my mascot Mirai Suenaga had in the TV anime series Mayo Chiki! - starting off with episode 13 where she appeared the most - and not just stills too but moving about ^^;
I think that was it for episode 13 - did I miss any? ^^;
Thanks to everybody who provided screenshots!
In Episode 9, we see Mirai about to pay a visit to a butlers cafe with her two comrades who you will also see in Mirai Millennium ^o^
And in Episode 8, we see Mirai glancing at the camera while munching on some candy floss. We told her that she shouldn't really look at the camera though but she wasn't so used to being on TV - this was of course all before Culture Japan Season 2 when she was on TV every week though ^^;

The Mayo Chiki girls are so cute. Who's your fave?

Mirai's other anime appearance was Twin Angel before appearing in her own anime OP which JC staff and I produced.
I heard that some people thought I paid for these placements ^^; For start, if anybody (especially a nobody like me) can pay for a placement in a major anime series then anime would be ridden with cameo appearances and the anime industry wouldn't have such a hard time making money.
Secondly - there are some things in life that you cant buy - connections. The amount of people you know is *much* more valuable that whats in your bank account. Its about the people you know - not about the money.
If you are about to start a career, work on building relationships rather than trying to earn as much money as possible. If you struggle and focus on making money in the early days then you will be struggling to earn money in your later years too.
If you focus on building relationships now then you dont need to worry about money in the future as there will always be a flow of opportunities in your network.
Hmmm. I could write a whole post about building relations which I think I'll do in a later post ^^;
