DC Comics recently announced an official release date for the highly-anticipated brand-new BATMAN: DEATH BY DESIGN Graphic Novel by Writer/Designer Chip Kidd and Comic Book Artist Dave Taylor. It will hit the newsstands on May 2nd, 2012!
Down below is a complete breakdown of the creative process. We get to see the page where THE JOKER makes his first appearance! It starts at the "script stage" and then we get to see how it evolves into the final artwork, very cool! Well, this example is missing the "word balloons", but I'm totally loving the graphic design so far. Having it in black and white with a very small touch of color is completely beautiful. It really has a retro 1930's feel about it! Also, I know now that the debut of this new Batman book will be a major event!

Kuroneko gets holy in this preview gallery
The figma blog has a preview of the definitely-not-a-figma 1/7-scale Kuroneko in her Holy Angel Kamineko outfit. You last saw her at Comiket 81, but now you can get a few more angles. I originally thought her face looked kind of weird in the other previews, but it looks great here. Max Factory spared no expense in giving Kuroneko the maximum amount of frillyness and ribbon-ness. The gallery also shows that her large outer skirt is removable in case you want to go for a more contemporary look.
She'll be available for pre-order January 10 for a hefty price of ¥8,800, and is set for a May release.

Cutesations Alice in Wonderland now at the Disney Store
Small plushies, such as plush keychains, are generally hit or miss with me. The newest set to come under my radar are the Cutesations Alice in Wonderland plushies that are now available through the Disney Store. There are 8 plushies in the set, but there are two ways to go about getting your hands on them.
First off, you can somewhat cheat and just order the 8 plush set, in which you'll also get a giant plush mushroom for them to go with. The set retails for US$79.50 and you can purchase it here. The other way is to go the blind box route and buy them individually for US$6.50. Each box contains one 5 inch plush, and there are several cute ones you can find, so head on over to the Disney Store now if these seem to tickle your fancy.
