Gotta Love Cloth Dolls and My Cloth Dolls Tutorials, Video's, Patterns, and How-To's Pinterest Board
I absolutely love dolls of every shape and kind. Cloth dolls are a favorite of mine and range from all different sizes to all different styles to all different time periods.
It doesn't matter if they are Victorian, country, folk art, primitive, colonial, or shabby chic. I love making all of them.
It doesn't matter if they are for everyday use or just for the holidays or seasons. I love making them and decorating my house with them.
Basically, I love cloth dolls. In fact, I've never seen a doll I haven't loved or seen a type of doll I haven't wanted to make. I want to try making every conceivable type of doll there is. It's a lifetime quest which I know at this point I'll probably never finish. For sure, I'll give it my best shot. At this point in time I've made over 2000 dolls, some of my own design and some based on other doll makers designs.
Not only do I love making dolls, but I love finding out the history of all the different types of cloth dolls made over the decades and different ways for making them. You could say I love history and research as well. As a result many of my doll histories are about various cloth doll histories, like:

Over the years I've bought many doll patterns and created dolls from some of the wonderful free tutorial, how-to's and patterns I've seen. So, of course I had to set up a Pinterest board for all the wonderful cloth doll patterns, tutorials, video's and how-to's that I've found.

Barbie as social media influencer: would you buy something endorsed by Barbie?
In early August, Mane University in Hawaii hosted a beauty conference for Dyson's Supersonic hair dryer. it seems that Barbie (Mattel really) was hired to produce sponsored content for it. It seems a bit weird to hire a doll (no matter how famous she is) to advertise a super expensive ($400) high tech hair dryer. In the age of Kardashian/Jenner social media reign and companies paying 6- figure sums to influencers with millions of followers in order to promote their products, hiring Barbie must have some secret meaning I am just not getting - is it the colour?
Would you buy something, or even think of buying something, because you saw it on Barbie's instagram? Is this a thing of the future? While I like the attention fashion dolls are getting from outside the (small) world of collectors, this feels weird.

Walgreens Exclusive Titans Return Brainstorm Found At Retail! ...In A Kentucky Walmart
TFW2005 user Rastafarian has posted photographic proof of finding Titans Return Brainstorm in a brick-and-mortar store! ...except it was found at Walmart, not Walgreens where it is supposed to be an exclusive. Odds are very good this is just a mistake. Shipments go to the wrong places sometimes. But the good news is, that means that Brainstorm is likely shipping to Walgreens now, so hopefully it will work its way through the pharmacy franchise's supply chain and get to us shortly.
