Transformers: The Last Knight - First King Arthur, Now Merlin? New Casting Rumor
Having revealed negotiations with Liam Garrigan this weekend to possibly take on the role of King Arthur in Transformers: The Last Knight, Mashable has subsequently added another puzzle piece to the mix. They now suggest that Santiago Cabrera, whose involvement was revealed quite some while back, might in fact be playing the role of the wizard - and Arthur's traditional advisor - Merlin! These rumors, plus the behind the scenes image of a knight on horseback certainly seem like Arthurian legend may be a big inspiration in this movie. The fifth webisode of Machinima's Combiner Wars cartoon debuted today, and in support of that they've partnered with stop motion artist counter656 to have a special video produced. The short depicts a battle between Devastator and Windblade, played out using Transformers Generations toys - and undoubtedly a great deal of time and labor by counter656! The video also features a short clip of the Combiner Wars cartoon itself ...of a scene that hasn't actually properly debuted yet!
