Manda - The Fairie Twin Victorian Fairy Doll Dress Free E-Pattern
I love fairies - especially ones wearing beautiful dresses. So, decades ago when I wanted to make some beautiful Victorian fairies I decided to buy a Mangelsen's 6 1/2" fairy doll torso kit #171-32 that had instructions for attaching a porcelain head, arms, and legs to a 6 1/2" cloth body with chenille stem arms and legs. I got my kit here. The kit is very simple and basically contains a small cloth body, a chenille armature, and poly-fil.
I also purchased a 1 1/2" porcelain fairy head (similar head is here or here), 1 5/8" fairy bent arms (similar arms are here) and 2 1/2” porcelain bent fairy legs (similar legs are here) to attach to my fairy cloth body with chenille armature. Since fairies need wings I also purchased several different types of fairy wings.
My fairy was quite adorable, but she needed a beautiful Victorian dress so I designed one for her and decided to create a pattern for this dress so you could make a beautiful Victorian dress for your fairy, too.
My "Manda - The Faerie Twin!" free e-pattern shows you how to make a beautiful Victorian dress with embellishments for a faerie doll ornament using a Mangelsen's 6 1/2" fairy doll torso kit #171-32, a 1 1/2" porcelain fairy head, 1 5/8" fairy bent arms and 2 1/2” porcelain bent fairy legs.
However, this dress pattern can be adjusted for any 6 1/2" faerie doll. Just alter the dress and bloomers patterns accordingly. Add wings and a hanger and you have a beautiful Victorian Faerie doll ornament.
You don't have to use a porcelain head, arms, and legs with this dress. This dress could also be adapted for any 6 1/2" cloth fairy doll body. Just adjust the dress width or length for the body, arms, and legs of your cloth fairy doll.
