YIKES! That's A Lot of Family and Childhood Stories, Linda!
Time certainly flies when you're having fun - or so they say! Whoever they are?
I was thinking about all the stories I've written about my family and my childhood. Stories about my ancestors, my grandparents, my mother and father, my brothers and sister, my mother-in-law, my step-children, my grandchildren, my sisters-in-law, my brother-in-law, my fur baby "Bud", the "dollies", and - of course - my dear husband.
I've probably written the most about "hubby" as he's involved in many, many of the "dollie" stories and at times is the reason for their "antics!" But, that story is for another day.
In any event, since 2004 my family category has risen to over 255 posts. That's a lot of stories.
YIKES!!
Either I've been very busy, I've got "Blogorrhea", I'm very old, or I've got a very large family.
I'd have to say it's the latter. With a big extended family there's a lot to tell.
Sometimes my whole post is about a family member or about my childhood. Sometimes there's a reference within a post to a family member or my childhood. Suffice to say - it's a mixture of both. A little if this - a little of that!
So, I decided to create a "Family and Childhood Stories" page of my Linda's Blog just to keep track of my stories. I'll be updating that page as time goes on.

robotandspark, Dolly Oblong's papercraft Irezumi Girls
I've known about robotandspark's Irezumi Girls for a while and was waiting for news on when we might see them be released, but instead, we've gotten a little gift from robotandspark and Dolly Oblong! The two have collaborated on papercraft Irezumi Girls, originally available at the Middle East Film & Comic Con in Dubai. Featuring each of the four girls — Lipstick, Vegas, Suicide and Tequila — the papercraft figures are smaller versions of the bigger designs, but still keep most of the basic look.
The 16-inch resin versions of the girls are coming in November at robotandspark's BRING YOUR NEMESIS exhibition, but in the meanwhile, you can pick up the papercraft girls from Dolly Oblong's shop. They're €5 each, and the bad news is they're only available through May 3 (that's tomorrow!) as a very limited release, so if you want them, get on it!
SuperFest 59: A taste of kaiju and sofubi (part 2)
As mentioned earlier, kaiju and sofubi were all over the place at SuperFest 59, so we've split our photos from Tokyo Hunter into two separate galleries! In this batch, you'll find work from an artist named Jet Some; pieces from a new company, Kenth Toy Works (including one inspired by A Clockwork Orange); the latest from Rampage Toys, including the new release, Manotaur (featured in the header); and new works from Velocitron and Grody Shogun, Frenzy, Ilanena, Fig Lab, and more.
For even more kaiju/sofubi photos, I'd suggest checking out Kaiju Korner. Andy, who runs the site, routinely attends big kaiju/sofubi events like this and takes a ton of pictures, and if there's anything we don't have in our galleries, it should be in his!
[Thanks to Tokyo Hunter for taking photos at the event!]
