Check out this Project Mirai Nendoroid playset
Also spotted on Mikatan's blog today was a gallery showing off the latest spotlighted Nendoroid of the past, Hatsune Miku ... but the real surprise was the playset Miku was photographed in. It's a playset of the room from the (sugary sweet) opening of the recently released 3DS title Hatsune Miku and Future Starts: project mirai. Given that Miku and co. are in their Nendoroid forms in the title, it makes sense that the playset is Nendoroid-sized, complete with all the accessories you see in the opening. It's also worth noting that the entire thing was 3-D printed, and it looks pretty good, if you ask me!
The sad news? This is a one-off piece and there aren't plans to produce it at the moment. But you can check it out at the Akibahara GSC Cafe, which is where it's currently being displayed. Would you buy this if it were an actual playset, Mikupop members?

New Rivet Wars Quad Stug sets up for sale Thursday
Some of you happened to like Rivet Wars' Stug tank when we posted about them being available in February. Unfortunately, they sold out quick, but now, a set of hand-painted Stugs will be available as part of a collaborative set with Adam Pratt! Limited to five unique sets, the Stugs — painted by Pratt — come with a unique stat card, sealed combat orders, a keg of "Rumple Minze Schnapps," and a unique Rivet Wars Rocket Cycle print, all inside of a nice box.
The five sets go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, April 26, at 9 p.m. Eastern (6 p.m. Pacific) in the Rivet Wars store for US$85 each. Don't expect them to be there long, though, if the first Stug sale is any indication.

Mermaid Ariadne
Ariadne loves to challenge her fellow mermaids and mermen to races- she's one of the fastest mermaids in her part of the ocean. She is hoping to qualify for the Mermaid World Championship Races this summer.
I have wanted to make a mermaid plush for a long time, and I finally got the time and the inspiration to do it. It took me awhile to get a sketch that I liked, and this is the result. Her scales are made from layers of felt, both wool felt and regular felt- it took quite some time to cut them all out and sew them down, let me tell you. I'm happy with the way that they turned out, so it was worth the time. :)
The Network Roundup: Stop Projecting
It started with Hatsune Miku and recently made loads of money for Tupac's estate at Coachella. Come on people. What's with all the projections of artists who can't really be on stage? I was hoping these were isolated incidents, but when I read on TMZ that pop group TLC was planning to resurrect deceased singer, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez for an upcoming tour, I couldn't stay silent anymore. What happened to hiring new talent instead?
On the network we could only be ourselves. Take it or leave it. When I pass on, there won't be a Princess Leia style hologram waiting, just another hungry games journalist. Destructoid kept things on the real with a new Podtoid. Japanator kept the music real bad. Flixist is giving you a final push to win some good stuff. Finally, Tomopop wants you to get a real close shave and a nice figure. Oh yeah, keep it real.
