Custom Delights: Gary Ham's Some Play in Autumn
The Playsam 500 hits Super7 on Saturday, and rolling up to the starting line next is Gary Ham's Some Play in Autumn. "Raking up leaves and jumping in the piles is is one of my fondest memories as a kid," Gary noted, so he's decided to incorporate that into his Playsam Streamliner, featuring a little boy and girl in a pile of leaves, tossing them into the air underneath a big, leafless tree with a tire swing. With the light pink base and the cheery smiles on the kids' faces, it does feel very bright and playful, doesn't it?
Furthermore, proceeds from the show go to charity, the World Childhood Foundation, so there's another reason to embrace the "play" theme for his piece. Check out the gallery for a lot of detailed shots of Some Play in Autumn!

Disney's new Cutesations go to infinity and beyond
It would seem (much to my relief) that Disney's blind boxed set of mini-plushes, known as Cutesations, are making a return appearance. This time, Toy Story is getting the spotlight, with stuffed versions of eight of the series' well-loved characters: Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Lotso Huggin' Bear, Rex, Hamm, Wheezy, and the Little Green Alien. Each plush measures up to 5 inches tall and is packaged in its own colorful box. Word to the wise, buy them online. Whenever I tried to buy the Alice and Wonderland ones in-store, all the boxes had already been opened and the surprise was ruined. The individual blind boxes cost US$6.50 each.
If you don't want to take your chances getting the character you want, you could buy the whole set plus a plush stand for US$79.50. The stand resembles a sheriff badge, which, to me, seems a tad uninspired. If I had my druthers, I would have made the base a toy chest or Andy's bed. But, alas, they did not consult with me beforehand.
Any of you fine Tomocitizens interested in collecting these adorable toys? Which ones do you hope to get?
