Wonder Festival 2015 Winter: Alter
For a while now, Alter has pretty much towed the line with the other manufacturers and their output has been somewhat dull with characters just standing or some other mundane pose. It has been a while since they produced a figure which demanded your attention like the older releases like the Nanoha StrikerS figures.
We've had a few here and there but now, I think it's safe to say that Alter has really started to go back to the Alter of old with a return to an old license in the shape of Odin Sphere! Mercedes and Gwendoline were shown off as blasts from the past but the real star is Velvet and Cornelius! A fantastically dynamic pose and lots of detail has been crammed into this figure and it looks great. Even Chitoge from Nisekoi and more Strike witches girls are showing that Alter are really going back to really dynamic figures.
There are some more standard pose figures as well, such as Sabe... I mean, Heroine X and Shikabane Itsuka from Sekai Seifuku Bouryaku no Zvezda. There was also a surprise in the shape of Haruna from Aoi Hagane no Arpeggio. She's no Takao, but shes still pretty good!
Finally, Alter showed that they haven't given up on the Altair line with a figure of Atobe Keigo from Prince of Tennis! Admit it, that chair makes him look BOSS!, not the crown, the chair!
It's a bit suprising that Alter didn't show off their imminent releases, such as mu-12 but there was still enough to show off. Personally,, I'll be keeping an eye on the Haruna (and hoping for a Takao) but what are you readers looking forward to? Has anything from Alter tickled your fancy?

Wonder Festival 2015 Winter: Sentinel and Union Creative
Doing figures that other companies won't do is something that Sentinel and Union Creative excel at. Whether it's cardboard space robots or figures so grotesque they're cool you can bet one of these companies will make it. They both had large displays at Wonder Festival with some new figures that we haven't seen before.
Here are some of the highlights:
- 12" Hero's Meister Ultraman
- Ma.K Danboards
- Lots of Attack on Titan BRAVE-ACT figures
- RE:EDIT Iron Man armors
- Chara-Forme Yotsugi Ononoki from Tsukimonogatari
- Red Hood from Soul Sacrifice
- Naked Snake from Metal Gear Solid V
- Decapre from Ultra Street Fighter IV
- Calne Ca (Bacterial Contamination ver.)
- Characters from the K anime
- Shaolin Cowboy technical statue
- Hoozuki no Reitetsu figures
- Bizarre guys from Yowamushi Pedal
There is a lot of stuff to look at so be sure to give the gallery a good look!

Wonder Festival 2015 Winter: QuesQ
Kantai Collection fans, your ship has come in from Ques Q, and we perhaps mean that literally. They brough enough KanColle PVC with them to sink a small fleet: Kitakami, Yukikaze, Tatsuta, Tenryuu, Kongou, Kirishima, Kitakami Kai, Nagato, Haruna (seen in the header image) and Atago are among those featured at their WonFes booth. Most of them appear to be in the 1/8-scale, if our MyFigureCollection friends are correct, but no release dates on them yet. I'd expect to see them staggered for release sometime over the next year or so.
Also among the figures on display or teased from Ques Q were Touhou's Remilia Scarlet and Patchouli Knowledge; Persona 4 Arena's Labrys, Super Sonico Love Bomb ver., Iona from Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova, and an impressive Kashiwazaki Sena figure of her as a blacksmith ... with a giant hammer.

Threezero’s Matrix APU Makes a Giant Wrong Right, but it’s going to cost you
Many people could probably do without any collectibles from the Matrix sequels, as they weren’t exactly the best movies that you have ever seen. Though even with that said, toy companies are trying to make toys based on those very movies. McFarlane Toys attempted to make the Matrix APU, but it had some serious quality […]
