The first video preview of the Desolataur prototype is up. Crowd funding will start on February 27th, 2015. Note: This is a resin prototype, so it literally wears as you move it. The final product will be made of high quality plastic, will be painted, and will have chains.

Vertex were one of the few companies to announce exactly what they were bringing to Wonder Festival so their booth packed little in terms of surprises. 

Celia continues to impress (though I'm probably a little biased in that regard. I really like Celia and bought a Volks GK of her before the game was even finished!) and I'm sure many Persona 3 fans will jump at the chance to get a good Takeba Yukari! Elsewhere, Vertex showed off their painted Naruse Mio as well as an unpainted Naruse Maria in her succubus form. We can also add another Pochaco to our personal figure databases but otherwise, there was very little else on display.

Still, I'll be keeping an eye on Celia but Vertex are a bit hit or miss when it comes to their products. Mitsuru didn't come out very well but Tiki is a lot of fun. We'll just have to wait and see how their next batch of releases hold out!

Kotobukiya has announced two new Star Wars statues, the R3-A2 and K-3PO ARTFX+ Statues, and they’ll be available exclusively at Star Wars Celebration 2015. The R3-A2 statue is built to 1/10th scale and stands approximately 4 inches tall. An unpainted prototype for Kaiyodo's Revoltech? Boba Fett was on display at Winter WonFes. Fans will recall that the character had previously been teased with a silhouette at Summer WonFes 2014 when Kaiyodo first displayed its Star Wars offerings.

The figure wasn't alone, however, as the also-teased X-Wing as apparently on display (see gallery). I haven't seen images for the Millennium Falcon, although I'd be a little surprised if it wasn't there as well.

Speaking of surprises, the placard next to Boba Fett listed a ¥5,200 list price. Kaiyodo seems to be getting a little carried away with its prices. On the plus side, he does look pretty cool and I wonder if he'll keep that appeal when he's painted.
