DST's bloody cool Bleeding Edge Iron Man available for order
Diamond Select Toys' Marvel.com and Disney-exclusive Marvel Select Iron Man is currently available for order through and will be available through Marvel.com the Disney Store later this month.
The 7-inch tall figure is billed as having 16 points of articulation and apparently sports an incredibly shiny paint job. He comes with a large display base depicting what appears to be a severed plane wing. By placing Bleeding Edge Iron Man at the top of the plume of smoke, it looks like the figure has punched his way through the wing.
Apparently debuting in Invincible Iron Man #25, the Mark 38 armor consists of millions of nano-machines stored inside Tony Stark's body, which exit through the pores of his skin using repulsor technology to form a protective layer over his entire body. As such, when Tony's not wearing the suit the suit apparently wears him.
DST's Marvel Select Bleeding Edge Iron Man can be ordered for US$25. Be sure to check out the photo gallery for additional images.

NYCC 2014: Mezco
The Mortal Kombat franchise seems to have finally caught a break as Mezco displayed some great-looking figures based on the upcoming Mortal Kombat X. Other items on display included some Judge Dredd figures and the Dark Knight Returns Batman along with the expected (and now familiar) mix of tv show toys, Living Dead Dolls, and the such.
The headliners here are obviously the Mortal Kombat figures which, despite possibly having smallish heads and somewhat lacking in articulation, look great. I can't recall the last time that I wanted to pick up a Mortal Kombat figure but these are solid renditions that feature nice detail and cool paintwork... just not as much articulation as I'd like. The first three figures unveiled were predictably the ninjas Scorpion and Subzero along with series staple Raiden. These are probably the best we'll see for quite some time. Look for them in 2015.
Almost everything else (including Batman) seemed to be on display at SDCC. However, the one obvious exception were some Judge Dredd figures... which we only have blurry photos of (but here's AFI's coverage to make up for it). Like Batman, the figure seems to have a separate costume (albeit of a different material, one better suited to Judge Dredd) and has a decent amount of detail. However, given that the material looks to be thick, I'm wondering how well the articulation will work.
