You're All Invited To The Dollie's Spooky Halloween Party
There's been a lot of chatter coming from The Dollie Storage Room lately.
Dolls have been coming and going at all times of the day and night.
There's been a lot of banging and moving of furniture. And, of course there's been a lot of laughter and gaiety for days on end now.
We weren't concerned until we heard the screaming. That we weren't too sure of, but the dollies assured us that everything was fine.
We're pretty sure what's going on.
It's October and that means the "dollies" favorite holiday will be here soon - HALLOWEEN.
And, for the dollies that means "PARTY TIME!"
They do love to party. And, at Halloween party they do.
That is - until the house starts shaking.
Then, hubby, puts his foot down. Or lets say he tries to put his foot down. When the "dollies" get going they don't listen to anyone. Well, maybe someone - ME!!!!
When they get out of hand and get a little too exuberant I have to gently remind them that I may be old, but since I put them together I can still take them apart. For them that's tantamount to a death sentence. So, they pay attention and calm down just a bit. At least the house stops shaking.
So, get ready. It's IT'S SPOOKY TIME
You're All invited! So, come on - let's party!

Hatsune Miku goes from Letterman to new Play Arts Kai
[Update: Now with actual images. Duck face?]
Yes, we all have seen that thing that happened last night. (In case you haven't it's after the break.) It's now time for better things and with New York Comic Con opening in just under 4 hours, the lid's coming off on quite a couple news items. Square-Enix, no stranger to taking things and making them in their own image, will now do so with a version of Vocaloid Hatsune Miku in their Variant Play Arts Kai line.
The sketch for the basis of the figure was released this morning, created by famed artist Tetsuya Nomura. He'll be at the show signing autographs, hence this card and the hidden announcement on said autograph card. Hopefully I'll get more concrete details about this release later today. Stay tuned this afternoon when the show opens to updates from us here at Tomopop.
Now, if you would like to witness the end of Western Civilization as we know it, hit the jump to watch the awareness that was last night.

Marvel at Square-Enix's Variant Play Arts Kai Iron Man
Hidemi Matsuzuka has tweeted two images of Square-Enix's Variant Play Arts Kai Iron Man. This marks the first Marvel character released in the Variant Play Arts Kai line.
Square-Enix has always excelled at producing armored characters/robots and the VPAK Iron Man is a neat example. Although the design isn't drastically different from versions of Iron Man that we've seen in the past, the figure sports a black deco (in addition to his usual gold/yellow and red combo) and his arc reactor is now a crystal. It's both very Iron Man and yet fairly distinct. Although I'm not as much of an Iron Man fan in recent years (the explosion of popularity combined with the inundation of merchandise has curbed much of my enthusiasm), I think I like this design.
The tweets don't list where these photos were taken, but I'm guessing (from the timing) that it was probably at NYCC so we may have our own coverage soon.

REVIEW: BATGIRL #35
The new creative team of Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher, and Babs Tarr take batgirl in a brand new direction with a new attitude and a brand spanking new costume. Does this new take on Barbara Gordon live up to the hype or is it trying too hard to appeal to the hipster crowd for its own good?
