Sally, Susie, Sammy, and Sandy Stick'Em and Collect'Em Wooden Stick Doll Ornaments Free E-Patterns
My Mother and I did a lot of shopping together and thought that, instead of shopping, it would be nice every once in awhile to get together for a few hours a day to complete a quick and easy craft project. So, I put together a few ideas that I thought might be fun to do together.
One of the quick and easy craft projects I thought we could do was to make a collection of little doll ornaments made out of Popsicle sticks. Unfortunately my Mom and I never got to put them together for one of our crafting days so I decided put them together and create free e-patterns to share.
So, please meet the Stick'Em and Collect'Em Series of doll ornaments.
If ever there was a "wild and crazy" bunch of dolls it would have to be the "Stick'em and Collect'em Series" of wood stick doll ornaments.
They love to be collected and can will fit in with any primitive, country, Victorian, shabby/chic, or vintage home decor.
They just love to hang out with each other.
Stick'em and collect'em. They'll fit right in.
"Susie, Stick'em & Collect'em" is a 7" wood stick doll ornament. She has a painted and outlined wood body, painted and blushed face, and a mass of frizzy doll hair.
Her dress is fringed and gathered at the neck edge. She has gathered lace trim around her neck and a lace waistband.
"Susie, Stick'em & Collect'em" is the prankster of the group. She just loves a good joke and loves punking her friends. Watch out she may pull a prank on you..
"Sammy, Stick'em & Collect'em" is a 7" wood stick doll ornament. She has a painted and outlined wood body, painted and blushed face, and a mass of curly doll hair.
Her dress is fringed and gathered at the neck edge. She has gathered lace trim around her neck and a lace waistband.
"Sammy, Stick'em & Collect'em" is the most inquisitive of the stick dolls. She's always wondering why this or why that. So much so that it drives the other stick dolls crazy. She's probably got a question for you.
"Sandy, Stick'em & Collect'em" is a 7" wood stick doll ornament. She has a painted and outlined wood body, painted and blushed face, and a funky hairdo.
Her dress is fringed and gathered at the neck edge. She has lace trim around her neck and around her waist.
"Sandy, Stick'em & Collect'em" is a bit of a wise cracker and the smartest stick doll of the group. She gets into trouble a lot and ends up having to apologize to someone at least once a day. Has she apologized to you yet?
"Sally, Stick'em & Collect'em" is a 7" wood stick doll ornament. She has a painted and outlined wood body, painted and blushed face, and a mass of frizzy doll hair.
Her dress is fringed and gathered at the neck edge. She has gathered lace trim around her neck and a lace waistband.
"Sally, Stick'em & Collect'em" is the shyest stick doll of the group and can often be seen blushing.

Kahotan shows off what Good Smile Company is bringing to Comiket
Comiket 86 is happening this weekend. While it's not a big event for figure makers, it's still a huge pop culture event so Good Smile Company will have a presence there. Kahotan's Blog has some info on what you can expect from GSC. Most of it is licensed anime merchandise, but who knows, maybe they'll bring some surprises.
Nendoroid Cleaning Levi will be reappearing alongside the Picktam phone charm version of him. They'll also be carrying books, Picktams, shirts, and more for an assortment of other anime. I really want the Kill la Kill stuff!
Finally, there will be some Nendoroids at other booths on the show floor. Nendoroid Tina from the PC game Koi ga Saku Koro Sakura Doki will make an appearance at Palette's booth. Beatrice Anastasi from Freedom Wars will also be at the show, set for the Sony Computer Entertainment booth.

SDCC 2014: Uglydoll
When Uglydoll's David Horvath revealed their con-exclusive, a plush of their Big Toe character cosplaying as The Joker from DC Comics' Batman, I knew the booth was going to be swarmed even more than usual this year. This was true and with good reason! Attendees were treated to not only plushes of Big Toe as The Joker but also Babo as Superman, Tray as Wonder Woman, and Ice-Bat as Batman. These adorable stuffed superheroes were available for purchase in two sizes, 11-inches (some of which are also available online) and two-feet tall. They had barrels of mini-plush keychains as well.
Besides the promised plush offerings, Uglydoll also brought with them enamel pins and several limited edition art prints, all showcasing the characters in their DC Comics garb. Every piece of merchandise had that signature Uglydoll charm that I associate with the brand. It is simple and happy, and never ceases to illicit a smile.

We've been here before, back after Dark of the Moon wrapped - but Michael Bay has again said that he wants to move on to different kinds of movies and possibly not direct Transformers 5. He recently renewed his contract with Paramount so presumably there will be great pressure for him to continue- but it's very likely that both Bay and Transformers could benefit from a fresh perspective on the property. A new Jouwe collab teaser emerges
We've had a teaser passed along to us for a new Jouwe that will be releasing at Popcon Asia, Sept. 19-21 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The teaser doesn't give much away besides the fact that it'll be a collaboration with artist David The Killer, and that perhaps DTK's contribution will be a head sculpt. The latter part is a bit speculative, but given the illustration, it's my best guess.
In any case, you'll be able to find the new Jouwe in the Artist Alley at Popcon Asia, which is being held at Jakarta's SMECSO Exhibition Hall. Hopefully, we'll get some shots of the actual sculpt soon!
