Nintendo is making their own figures for their video games
It’s no secret that Nintendo has been struggling in the video game market. I mean, one day Mario really might have to be a plumber! Still, this company continues to fight and is still trying to be innovative.
At an investors meeting, it was revealed that Nintendo will be making interactive figures to go along with their upcoming games called NFP, short for Nintendo Figurine Platform. I’m not sure if that will officially be the name, but I hope not. The first of these figures shown was none other than Mario.
Similar to the figures from Skylanders and Disney Infinity, the NFP will be able to interact with games for Wii U and 3DS, but you’ll be able to use them for more than one game. That will give people more of an incentive to buy them. Also, the way they’re being described is making me very interested.
Since you’ll be able to use these figures for more than one game, they can be used to create a customized character of your own. So I can imagine getting real figures for our Mii characters. How fun would it be if we could carry our figure everywhere to get street passes?
These are expected to come out during the holiday season. No details on the actual figures has been said. From the picture it looks like they'll be small non-articulated figures. More NFP news will be revealed during E3, so I'm looking forward to that news.
