LEGO artist recreates The Homer from The Simpsons
The LEGO world just seems more interesting now that we have The Simpsons in it. We have a replica of the iconic house and we have a good amount of figures from the show as well. With these out on the market, fans can now make lots of creations from The Simpsons world.
That’s just what LEGO artist, Brian Williams did! From the episode “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?”, Williams recreated The Homer. If you’re unfamiliar with this reference, in this episode Homer meets his long lost half brother, Herb who’s a wealthy car manufacturer.
He lets Homer design his own car, which is the beautiful creation Williams put together. It’s a pretty good likeness, and there’s even a custom Herb figure presenting the car. This may have bankrupt Herb’s company, but The Homer is a cool car.

Kidrobot SF plays host to Friends From Forgotten Fairytales
Kidrobot San Francisco is playing host to a new exhibit that opens May 10 at the store (1512 Haight Street), called Friends from Forgotten Fairytales. Opening night is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific, and includes some gift bags, raffles, lots of custom art, a wine reception, and a complete Kidrobot mascot figure collection on display.
Thirteen artists will have work on display, many from the Bay Area, and it's a pretty good list: Christina Jung, doubleparlour, Daniel Fleres, Dave Higgins, DrilOne, Jay222, Kyle Lypka, Leecifer, Mageritdoll, Matthew Pugh, Martin Hsu, Steve Ferrara, and Salamander. Judging from the promotional image, it looks like a pretty wide spectrum of creations will be on display, including plush, custom vinyl and resin pieces.
If you can't make it on the 10th? No worries; the show runs until June 10 during normal store hours.
