I have sort of a "love/hate relationship" with them. I mean, they make incredible stuff... but I'm too poor to be able to purchase their stuff, ha ha ha!

Fuller introduces us to the world of Bizarre Wars

If the competition for "Best Custom Dunny Series of 2014" is underway, then allow me to submit one of the likely finalists: Fuller's Bizarre Wars. A series of six Dunnys set in an alternate galaxy far, far away — where god is evil and vice versa — the Evil Empire's Luke Firewalker, Princess Slaya and Chewchoppa must fend off the likes of the Rebel Resistance, led by Light Vader and his army of Suntroopers. There's also a Hoth Ice Cream Wampa thrown in for good measure for the good guys.

A total of four of each design are being made, all using Fuller's comic book-like stylings and some excellent sculptwork. The series is set to release on July 1, but pre-orders are open now for US$85 each in Fuller's store. He also made a special one-off custom, Hoth Han Shadow with TerrorTaun, which was US$275 and has already found itself a home.

tokidoki's Mr. Black is back, and Mr. UK is here, too

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has opened up a new store in London, and to celebrate, tokidoki have reissued Mr. Choupette in a new matte black colorway. The limited edition is being called Mr. Black on tokidoki's blog post, which is odd because that's the name of a different sculpt ...

... which happens to the basis for the Mr. UK figure that tokidoki is also releasing. This one features some Union Jack-colored gloves and tie for the Mr. Black figure, and sees it given a full color painting instead of the previous matte black finish.

Both figures are exclusive to the Karl Lagerfeld stores and net-a-porter.com, retailing at US$190. I'm kind of curious what folks think of the two new colorways; while I won't be buying one, will you?
