Being A Mother
Being a mother was a boon to me after 8 long years. Ever since I was pregnant, my husband and I, had already stepped into our new world with a lot of preparations as parents. As I was reading Sujatha’s post, it reminded me of my pregnancy days.
My Inspiration
A million thanks to my husband, my inspiration and support who made this journey wonderful and worth remembering till the end. My daughter gave us a lot of happiness. With each passing day of her growth, we experienced new challenges. When she was around 7 months old, I started to realize that her reciprocation towards strangers was a nightmare. She used to shy away and cling to us, which started me thinking how to make my daughter socially apt. I didn’t want to leave my daughter in daycare or with any third person as I was enjoying my motherhood. Thoughts and ideas rolled and took a shape and was named “TARANG” – A wave of thought to teach and inspire kids in innovative ways.
Birth Of Tarang
Tarang, has gone one step ahead and started making DIY for kids. It's a unique concept of providing innovative and affordable kits to kids. We create our kits looking at the child’s interest. It is a pleasure to see that mothers' use our kits and conduct hobby classes and workshops for their kids. This initiative has made us proud as I have seen many mothers gaining confidence and feeling a sense of financial independence.
Tarang believes that "Children learn best when entertained greatly while being educated gently." (Anon)
Life as an Entrepreneur- Tarang
I started nourishing it with my passion and interest towards teaching. I wanted TARANG to cover all aspects of education of kids’. It focuses on individual subjects from art and crafts to role-plays and much more. I started emphasizing on teaching Sanskrit to kids in form of shlokas, mantras with their meanings and teaching them the positive energy we get through those enchantments. My daughter is now 1 year 10 months and the results of TARANG have had a huge impact on her. I now see her more with others happily playing and socializing which has given me immense relief as a parent.
Rashmi Kulkarni, is a passionate lover of arts and crafts. She is a Bangalorean now settled in Belgaum, Karnataka. She has worked for 15 years in the corporate world as a HR Professional.
She now heads TARANG – The activity centre for kids in Belgaum. In addition to it, she also runs an online craft supply store Kreative Kraftz.

Wonder Festival 2014 Winter: Dragon's Crown
The second I saw all the designs of Dragon's Crown, I knew that they'd make fantastic figures. The ridiculously busty Sorceress, the gloriously thighed Amazon and the lithe Elf were seemingly made from the ground up to have fantastic toys made for them. Well, as you can see here, Megahouse has done quite a bang-up job with the Elf and Amazon. They won't sell you on the designs if you didn't like them before, but if you were fond of them before, you'll like them even more now.
The Elf looks fantastic, caught in the middle of a leap and firing her arrow at an unseen foe. The Amazon is wielding her massive axe, ready to bring it onto the head of any that would oppose her. They are both looking like must buys for fans of the games. Unfortunately, they'll likely be expensive, as their size, base requirements and detail all look high-end. That's alright though, as long as the final product is great. I guess it's time to start filling my poor, abused piggy bank.

Space Marine is ready to fight the other DOOM plush toys
Gaming Heads terrorized plush toy fans last year with a Cacodemon and a Pain Elemental from DOOM. Now help has arrived in the form of a plush Space Marine (sometimes called "Doomguy"), based on the character's original appearance.
The Space Marine plush stands 11-inches tall and comes armed with a plasma cannon. As such, this makes him a bit taller the Cacodemon and Pain Elemental (both of whom float in mid-air in the games). While it's neat to have a Space Marine to go with the other DOOM plushes, I find him a bit less exciting than the demons themselves. He's still a fairly cute plush and all but the focus of the games was really more on the space-monsters you kill than the character you're playing.
The Space Marine is currently available for purchase on Games Heads' site for US$20. The previous entries are also still available through the site for US$15 each.
