Tiki is ready to make a splash at Treasure Festa
Not to be outdone by Vertex and their offering, a GK circle by the name of MadHands has shown off their rendition of you companion fairy from Dragon's Crown in time for Treasure Festa in Ariake 10, which occurs just before Christmas (seriously, the event is held on the 23rd...)!
The kit is 1/1 scale and takes many of its cues from how Tiki appears in the Tavern, where you prepare your team for adventures. Of course, in the game, I'm pretty sure that Tiki is still clothed and decidedly more... drunk. Nevertheless, if you find her in your drinks cup, you're not going to be getting it back anytime soon!
No doubt, Tiki will probably also make an appearance in Wonder Festival early next year but for budding modellers who can't wait, you have a week to make arrangements to try and purchase this playful kit. And if you're not a modeller, you can always hope that companies like Ques Q and Embrace Japan will pick her up for a general PVC release at a later date...

[REMINDER] Tomopop Micropixel: Best of Friends
Christmas will soon be upon us, so what better time to start giving stuff away? Yes, it's time for a new photo contest!
The theme this time out will be Best of Friends. We want to see your figures hanging out with each other, spending some quality time. Naturally, two figures is the obvious way to go here, but don't let that restrain you - we'll accept pictures of figures with pets or even people, as long as it's a great shot. Be imaginative and creative. If it's unexpected or makes us laugh, that's extra points!
If you're interested in entering, then you can comment on this post with your photo or a link to your photos. Alternatively, post over in the Cblogs - we'd love to see how you went about taking your pictures. You're only allowed to enter once per person, so bring your A-game. This contest is open for readers worldwide, but please note if you're outside the United Kingdom then we'd nicely ask you to cover the cost of shipping the prize.
We've got the perfect prize for the competition too, with Alter's version of everyone's favourite yaoi couple best buddies Waver Velvet and Rider (review), from Fate/Zero, up for grabs. If you want them on your shelf, you've got until Monday 23rd December to get those entries in. Good luck!

Today I ordered the Olloclip 4-in-one iPhone Lens. It's a four-in-one lens system that fits over the corner of your iPhone. The fourth lens is a 15x Macro for the 5/5s.

Kaiyodo goes Batty with the TDKR Sci-Fi Revoltech The Bat
Bet you didn't see this one coming: Kaiyodo's newest addition to their line of Revoltech vehicles will be The Bat from The Dark Knight Rises, the third film in Nolan's Batman trilogy. Considering the movie was released on DVD and Bluray over a year ago, I'd say they missed the mark by a little bit.
"The Bat" is Nolan's take on the Batwing, Batman's personal plane that appeared in the Burton films. As with the case of the Batmobile, Nolan opted for a more "modern" vehicle with military applications that served the function of the other vehicle while looking nothing like the conventional version. Frankly, I'm surprised that even Nolan's Batman looks like Batman...
The Revoltech The Bat is shown here in an unpainted form and, to be perfectly candid, I believe this was the first time I've even heard about it but Big Bad Toy Store already has a pre-order for the figure. BBTS, of course, has something of a reputation for opening pre-orders before products are even announced as the site previously listed the Revoltech Genobreaker (using the promo artwork for the Revoltech Liger) and breaking news for many Transformers Masterpiece figures.
While the Bat is a pretty cool vehicle, I'm not sure whether it really works within the confines of the line. At the same time, it's not completely surprising (other than it coming out now) given that Kaiyodo previously released a Revoltech Tumbler Batmobile. BBTS lists the Bat as being 5.75-inches long and alleges that it features an opening canopy that can accommodate a tiny Batman. They've listed a US$50 pre-order.
