Toys for Tots holds final sorting day
Dozens of Toys for Tots volunteers spent Sunday morning at the Coast Guard Air Station sorting through more than 10,000 toys to prepare them for Christmas distribution.

Embrace Japan's NEOGEO Battle Coliseum Athena pre-order
Ho.Lee.Sh--Snap. Oh my goodness.. If you thought I'd been excited before, then... you have no idea. This ranks up there with my excitement for Hot Toys' Loki. I mean seriously. I somehow DIDN'T know a new Athena figure was coming? I'm slipping in my increasing age! Embrace Japan has just made my entire year by debuting a new figure based on the ancestor of one of my favorite fighting game characters ever - Athena. Goddess Athena made her way into NEOGEO Battle Coliseum in place of Athena Asamiya, and she will never be forgotten. Once you get turned into a cat, there's just no forgetting that.
Embrace Japan's Athena figure is set to release in April 2014, which will probably be here before we know it. She retails for ¥10,000, but you can save a bit when you pre-order of course. I immediately through down my pre-order when I saw how lovely her body looks. She has curves that could make a girl blush. I know I can't be the only one who's excited out there!

Iron Monger (Build A Figure)
Well, completing this Iron Monger figure took a little bit more work than usual. First off, Hasbro released in two separate waves the action figures containing the pieces to build the ‘monger. This would not have been much to think about, except that both half-waves were released about 6 months apart from each other.![]()

Pop Culture Shock releases Street Fighter Balrog statue
Pop Culture Shock Collectibles will be adding another Street Fighter character to their impressive statue line. Balrog, the heavy hitting boxer, will be made into a statue with real fabric clothing. There will be three versions of this statue available; Standard, Crazy Buffalo, and Player 2.
The standard version shows Balrog dressed in his usual blue boxing outfit. Standing at 17 inches tall, the standard edition of Balrog will be limited to 300 pieces and cost US$340. Then there is the Crazy Buffalo version which comes with an alternate interchangeable head.
This head shows Balrog with an intense glare. Limited to 175 pieces, the Crazy Buffalo version will be available for US$345. The other exclusive version is the Player 2 edition.
This version will come with Balrog dressed in his USA robe outfit. Also limited to 175 pieces, the Player 2 version will be US$355. The standard version of this statue will be available in stores, but the other two exclusive versions will only be available on Pop Culture Shock Collectibles’ website.
Pre-orders will begin on their website on December 23 at 3pm PST.
