Childhood Fun And Memories Now
Here is a list of things that we parents grew up with but our kids will never know off. I am just glad that I grew up in the time when I did.
Ravalgaon Toffees
‘Paan’has has been a cultural significance in our Indian culture. However, these days’ kids sulk and make a face when they see any of our grandparents chewing on a paan. I remember how I enjoyed substituting the original paan with Ravalgaon’s paan flavored toffees. I and my friends would show off our red colored tongues after having eaten the toffees.
My kid overheard my conversation with my mother about Ravalgaon and he was like “Raval-what-gaon?”Sigh! They’ll never know what fun it used to be.
Cigarette Candy
Completely healthy and sugary-sweet candies morphed as cigarettes. What would my kids know about these? Well, the answer is none. I remember making imaginary smoke rings and imitating the super-cool villains on screen. After enough role-play, I’d chew down the minty candy. Come to think of it now, I would be put down as a bad influence. But being a child with a free-willed mind was a pleasure.
Radio Sets
If cassettes were your second love, Radios were your first. Radios would bring you all the exclusive news from all over the world. The best part about the radios is that you never had the choice to customize your playlist. Every song played was like a music shuffle. How we all love surprises! Don’t we?
Cassettes
Prior to every film release, I’d plead my dad to get me a cassette for the film’s audio. Back then, cassettes were quite a deal. We’d save up in pennies and make up for this one pseudo-necessity as a kid. You’ll clearly get the reference if you know how reversing a cassette on a tape recorder sounds. Nowadays music and their lyrics are easily available. We all friends used to sit up and memorize the songs. We’d also archive the movie pictures leaflet that came with the cassette.

Cameras with reels
Candid moments were never so candid with these cameras. Now a vintage item, all thanks to the digital cameras. We’d check the number of shots left after every click. That’s what scarcity does to you. Not that I am complaining about the tech-savy digital ones. But it’s been over a year since I actually developed the many pictures we click every single day.
My sister and I’d play with the negatives from the reels; we even made a DIY craft sunglasses from the old ones.

Treat yourself to something sweet and grab a new Tamaki
It's been awhile since we've seen something from Beat, but they're back this April with my favorite redhead, none other than luscious Tamaki! They've dubbed this version "sweetheart", but it appears to be little more than an excuse to toss her in some sexy lingerie and let her sprawl out on her back. No complaints here!
Well, not many, because I'd find her considerably more appealing if they had some idea of how her considerably ample assets should be positioned with her on her back, instead of looking like they'd been pumped full of helium. Other than that not-so-minor detail, the rest of the figure looks great.
Tamaki is always rather less than tiny, but this one seems a bit curvier than even most, with some nice hourglass hips and thighs to die for. I'm really loving the detail on her belly too, and I just wish I could see her from behind! As for the outfit, the sexy look certainly suits her perfectly, especially with the addition of stockings and elbow gloves. That little choker is definitely cute too! The only thing that would tie this Tamaki together is if they'd put any effort on a nice pillow or carpeted style base, instead of letting her just lie there with nothing underneath. Even so, she definitely appears worth the ¥12,000 for any dedicated Tamaki fan.

This Hinata pre-order is a slam dunk for creepers
The latest in Chara-Ani's switchable Pandora System figures is here, with loliriffic sports anime Ro-Kyu-Bu's Hinata Hakamada shown off. Given that I'm not a total lolicon I've not partaken in so much as a trailer for this rather popular show, but it certainly doesn't give off the most innocent vibe, and neither does this figure.
I'd like to say it's mostly innocent. I mean, it's just a cute girl in a gym uniform, right? Even if that gym uniform consists of Japan's usual bloomers and requires knee socks for some reason. After all, that's certainly not a fetish or anything. But no, it's just a cute little thing? At least, until you realize some of the options include her shirt partially lifted up, or positioning her in a kneeling pose that looks more at home in a gravure idol photobook.
Sure, you don't have to use the pervier options, but is anyone really pre-ordering this figure for the innocence? Maybe. I'd like to think so. Whatever your reasons may be, you can grab her in March for the reasonable ¥5,000.
