Gift gets even more squishy with Wonder Festival plushes
Earlier in the week we saw Gift announce a pair of new Vocaloid Tako Luka plush phone straps for Wonder Festival 2012 [Winter]. Being that plush is Gift's forte, they have more than just those coming for this big event. The company has revealed a few more plush and straps on their Wonder Festival event page with characters from Vocaloid, Ikoku Meiro no Croisee, and Touhou Project.
Miku Hatsune is back to playing in the snow again with the latest Snow Miku exclusive so it comes as no surprise that Gift would also have a plush of this yearly winter Miku. Gift will be selling the standalone 200mm tall plush Miku Hatsune Plush Series 01 Snow Miku Fuwa Fuwa Coat ver. and the 150mm tall phone charm Snow Miku Plush Strap Fuwa Fuwa Coat ver. as a part of Wonder Festival 2012 [Winter] and the 63rd Sapporo Snow Festival. Each will be selling for ¥3,000 and ¥2,100 respectively.
From Ikoku Meiro no Croisee comes the little lady Yune whom I know some of you find to be the most adorable lady ever. Well, not ever but you now what I mean. And now she's even more so with Gift's 200mm tall (while sitting) plush of her. Yune will also be sold for ¥3,000. Touhou Project fans who want a phone strap of Flandre Scarlet can now do so with the 150mm tall limited Touhou Project Plush Strap 6 Flandre Scarlet. You can have her with her hat on and be as is or remove her hat and connect to your phone. Like the other strap, Flandre will be sold for ¥2,100.
All these plushes will be available at Gift's booth at Wonder Festival 2012 [Winter] on February 12, 2012 as well as the Gift ONLINE SHOP starting February 14, 2012. Gift will also have a batch of their previous Vocaloid and Touhou Project plush releases including Kaito, Miku Hachune, Fumo Fumo Chen, and Fumo Fumo Momoko to name a few.

A Little Bit On The 80’s Cartoon Side: I was going to save this for the ALBOTAS Weekend Film Fest, but, well, see for yourself. If you could encapsulate the essence of every Saturday morning cartoon from the 1980’s, you’ll end up with Space Stallions. This Bachelor film project for the Animation Workshop was made by Thorvaldur S. Gunnarsson, Jonatan Brüsch, Ágúst Kristinsson, Arna Snæbjørnsdottir, Esben J. Jespersen, Touraj Khosravi and Polina Bokhan. The music was composed by Friðfinnur Oculus Sigurðsson.

My very first General-Purpose Han Solo was precisely the Bespin Outfit version, and while it lacked the iconic feel of the ANH scoundrel, at least it did fit in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon alongside Chewbacca, which was something the Hoth Gear Han could not do. Hasbro decided to release a Han Solo (Bespin Outfit) as part of their Star Wars Vintage Collection (VC50) and it is a pretty good figure, although not precisely a groundbreaking release.

A+, did I ever tell you guys how much I love you? You bring me such hope since the death of Taki Corporation. I mean, after that train wreck of your Wonder Festival 2012 [Winter] exclusive of Cattleya from Queen's Blade, I knew the future between you and me would be a bright one. So it pleases me to know that your next release does... not... wait... What are you doing, A+ with your next event exclusive!?
The company revealed on their blog the next Wonder Festival exclusive would be the 1/4.5 scale Chifusu Manyuu from all about the big boobs title Manyuu Hikenchou. Chifusu sits embarrassingly while only covered with her sarashi covering her rather large bosom. Yeah, it's another ridiculous scaled figure with a ridiculous bust size from a ridiculous title but... it's really NOT that bad. As for how the figure is, it's really no different than the nearly naked figures from companies like Daiki Kougyou, Kaitendoh, or BEAT. The detail in the hair looks great and the face is well done and, I admit, has a somewhat cute expression. Though it looks like she's pouting. I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you! ... I also like that she has a fuller shape to her body bringing a more average, natural look. I've come to accept big boobs but Chifusu are a bit much. Though, it looks like the upper body was just duplicated from a previous release of Chifusu.
Honestly, this is all disappointing. What the heck, A+!? I want to make fun of you again! If you think about it, with the attention to detail to the hair, can you imagine if they put that effort into the actual outfit of their figures? At this scale, no less? A+, you could really make something of yourself if you really try. ...but then I do look at your catalog history and it's safe to say you just want to have A+ quality in T & A.
The 1/4.5 Chifusu Manyuu poly resin kit will be selling for ¥15,000 at Wonder Festival 2012 [Winter] on February 12, 2012 from A+ with only 20 available. Folks, I'm really am sadden by this figure. Hopefully their next release will be on the same page as their Cattleya. I could really use that to cheer myself up.
