Halloween comes early with Remilia and Flandre
I'm not a super big Touhou fan. Sure, I have my handful of favorite characters and I've played the games, but compared to most of the fandom I'm the most casual of casuals. I can't even point out the names of most characters, even famous ones. Fortunately, I'm well acquainted with Remilia and Flandre here, and my love of Halloween more than makes up for any lack of Touhou enthusiasm.
Halloween seems to be on the rise in Japan lately, even turning up in anime recently like the currently-finishing GJ-bu. ques Q is ready to take advantage of the interest, cashing in on the season and Touhou alike to create this utterly adorable little pair. And who better to ring in Halloween than a couple of vampires?
Without a doubt, these cuties are exactly the sort of adorable chibi-style art that draws me in. The coloring is vibrant and the overly large eyes are extremely appealing, even despite their unnaturalness. Unfortunately, unlike many chibi figures these two won't come cheap. Be ready to part with ¥9,400 and prepare for their seasonally appropriate arrival in October.

DC Comics is Set to Launch Digital-first BATMAN Comic Based on Classic 1966 TV Series
This Summer 2013 - DC Comics will be adding a new digital-first comic book title to their stable named "BATMAN '66". Yes, it will be based on the Classic 1966 TV Series with Adam West and Burt Ward!
The news popped-up the other night when Warner Bros. Consumer Products launched its Batman Classic Television Series licensing program at Meltdown Comics ( Los Angeles, CA ) with Junk Food Clothing.
"BATMAN '66" will be written by Jeff Parker and illustrated by Jonathan Case. Also, the awesome Comic Book Artist, Michael Allred ( a personal favorite of mine ) will be doing the cover art for issue #1!
Oh yeah, one last thing, the books will also come out in print, whew!
BATMAN WALLPAPERS - New Mattel Action Figure of Cesar Romero as THE JOKER!
OK, I know it's kind of wacky, but I thought it would be fun to celebrate the NEW 1966 BATMAN Classic TV Series Action Figures that are being made by Mattel with this amazing photo of THE JOKER Figure! It's based on the Actor, Cesar Romero, and as you can see from the pics, the Prince of Crime still has his "painted-over mustache", ha ha!

MATTEL TOY NEWS - BATMAN Classic TV Series BATUSI DANCE FIGURE Set for 2013 SDCC Exclusive
At the Meltdown Comics event the other night Mattel announced they will have a Special Boxed-Figure coming out with the 1966 BATMAN Classic TV Series toy line! It will be the "BATUSI DANCE" Figure of Adam West and is also an EXCLUSIVE Figure at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con ( SDCC ).
The artwork for the Window-Box packaging ( shaped like a Vintage Television! ) was done by a popular Graphic Artist named SHAG (the pics here show the front/back of the box so you can groove on it ). His snazzy artwork is known to be very retro in style and kinda groovy, so that's cool! Also, if you look at the lower right-hand side of the front of the box... are those "Speaker Holes"? Wow, maybe this thing will have sound too, ha!!
Oh yeah, please be sure to click on these 2 photos here for much larger & sharper pictures ( they have much better detail ).

Some of the brand-new Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series Products announced at the recent Meltdown Comics event were these Batman '66 Gift Bags and Tags, Greeting Cards, and 2014 Calendar! Really?! Are they trying to torture me with a TON of new merchandise that they know I will HAVE TO HAVE?!! Ha Ha! The Gift Tags are kinda weird, I like that.
Oh yeah, I don't have a photo of the Greeting Cards here (sorry) but you can see them by visiting my friend Scott Sebring's Blog, CLICK HERE!
CLASSIC BATMAN TV SERIES Event Held at Meltdown Comics LA - Photos and Video!
The other night, in Los Angeles, CA at the Meltdown Comic Book Store, DC Comics and Warner Bros Entertainment held an event where they celebrated the opening of the "Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series" franchise.
President Jim Lee was there, along with Adam West! George Barris even brought one of his '66 Batmobile Cars!! This was in conjunction with the Junk Food Clothing Company who has released several Vintage-Style T-Shirts. I've already shown a ton of them here in a previous post but down below is a new one I have not see yet ( I love that Graphic! ). Oh yeah, Mattel showed off their new line of Action Figures and Rubie's Costumes even displayed a few of their new products as well.
My good friend, Scott Sebring, went to the event ( Jealous!! ) and he got some great photos that he shares at his blog ( He took that photo up above showing the giant store display poster they had in their window ). You can visit his site, and do because there are some amazing photos, but also please be sure to check out the video down below. Then, CLICK HERE to visit Scott's website!
