Back in February we got our first look at a bunch of new figma from Max Factory, Phat!, and FREEing. Since then we really haven't heard a whole lot outside of an occasional appearance here and there. While there's nothing here we haven't seen before it is a good reminder that there's still a lot of stuff on the way that we haven't yet been able to pre-order. Come on Max Factory, I want to order that Rin Tousaka figma already!

Type Moon's 10th anniversary was a few years ago, but the celebration continues. Aniplex+'s Saber 10th Anniversary ~ Royal Dress Version figure for Fate/stay night has been available for a limited time pre-order for a while now with April 15 (today) being the final day to get an order in. I guess they figured it was now or never to give those orders one last push with this new video (with English subtitles) promoting the figure.
It's a great looking figure and a much more fitting image of a bride than the Saber Bride figure that came from Fate/Extra CCC. Although, if you want her in something a little more revealing this figure is able to accommodate with an alternate short skirt. The flowers are nice, too, I'm pretty sure most of them are lilies. Very fitting.
She's got a normal price of US$149.98, but has been discounted to US$118.98. She's only available officially at three English language retailers: Right Stuf, Tokyo Otaku Mode, and Akiba Anime. But there's still a variation in the prices, particularly at Right Stuf where they've added a US$20 surcharge, but also free shipping. I suspect that after April 15 you'll still be able to order her like with other Aniplex+ exclusives, but there's no telling what the price will look like after so I wouldn't put this off too much longer!
Remember when First 4 Figures previewed some images of a Proto Man statue over a year ago? Yeah, I had forgotten about it, too, until we received word that two versions of the statue were going up for pre-order.
F4F's 13-inch tall Proto Man statue will be available in a regular (US$210) edition as well as an (US$240) "exclusive edition" which features some LED lights. You know what I always say: if you're already paying over US$200, you might as well spring that extra US$30 or US$40 for the version with LEDs!
Both versions depict the one-man "Blues man group" deflecting some shots with his Proto Shield while standing in an action-y stance on some floor purportedly inspired by Shadow Man's state in Mega Man 3.
The Red Bomber (because if Mega Man is the Blue Bomber because he's blue... (and yes, I just referenced the worst Mega Man commercial ever)) is slated for a fourth quarter release. The regular is limited to 1,000 copies while the infinitely cooler exclusive is capped at 550. If you picked up the previously released Mega Man, F4F is willing to let you purchase a Proto Man with the matching production number.

At East Coast Comic Con this past weekend, Marvel Comics inker Dave Hunt had a selection of his work on display, and included among these pages are parts of an unpublished adaptation of the season three cartoon episode Dweller In The Depths. Reportedly issues like this were prepared as backups in case the normal monthly storylines weren't turned in on time. Only a few pages survive to today, but Roboplastic Apocalypse was able to take photos, which were posted to their Facebook page. Click through, and have a look!
Multiple outlets have reported that Herb Trimpe, the first artist to draw Wolverine and GI Joe, has passed away suddenly at the age of 75. As an artist for Marvel Comics, Trimpe drew a handful of issues of the G1 Transformers comic, as well as GI Joe vs The Transformers and the covers to the Transformers Universe miniseries. By all accounts he was a much loved and respected comics artist and human being, and will be missed. More details on Mr. Trimpe's career after the jump.
