Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera
Red decided to turn their Scarlet camera from the ultimate working videographer’s dream into a fixed lens paperweight. So Blackmagic picked up where they left off and built the Cinema Camera. But for $3,000, people with budgets like mine were still hanging onto their Canon 5D MkIIs.
Enter the Pocket Cinema Camera. It shoots Pro-Res and RAW, outputs to HDMI, and has an MFT mount. Oh yeah, and it’s sexy as hell. And you don’t even need deep pockets for the Pocket. $1K gets you the body. That’s not a whole lot more than a used 5D.

Korg M01D for 3DS
The emulated version of Korg’s M1 synth is being ported from DS to 3DS and will be available worldwide this summer. The softsynth was previously released on the DS but was much harder to get a hold of compared to it’s prequel, the DS-10, which was based on Korg’s MS-10.
I’ve never played the DS version of the M1 synth, but I’ve used the DS-10 software quite a bit. Owning a real Korg synth myself, I’ve got to say the emulation is impressive. I guess this is one more reason for me to cave in and get a 3DS.
Albotip: The software’s developer, Detune ltd also have an iPad app that emulates the Korg MS 20.

Blogging from Orlando
I ran into a few doll people today but nothing else is happening. The artists and dealers were busy setting up their booths and that was a closed affair.
The weather was beautiful today - sunny, warm and breezy. It felt so good after the extraordinarily long winter we had in Pennsylvania.
Since there were no dolls to photograph, I photographed a chair. Made sense to me.
