Figure Oh reveals new Transformers Prime figures
While Hasbro has been only picking and choosing characters from Transformers Prime to release as figures, it's Takara Tomy that's aiming to leave no bot or variation left unmade. Not only did they release some surprise characters like Gaia Unicron and the upcoming Orion Pax, but also some of their own creations like the awesome Darkness Megatron. Even though Hasbro is already making their plans for figures based on the third season, Takara is plenty content with continuing to roll out new figures based on overlooked characters from the second season.
Probably the biggest upcoming release absent from Hasbro's assortments is Smokescreen, the cocky rookie that's been integral to the story surrounding season two. Probably the bigger surprise, however, is a variant of Breakdown based on Silas' melding with the body of the late Decepticon. What isn't a surprise is them repainting one of the Optimus Prime figures into Nemesis Prime, we get one of those in most series. They also revealed upcoming Lucky Draw versions of Optimus Prime and Arcee. Lucky Draw figures are extremely rare figures released as part of a drawing, in many cases these are just one or two of a kind. They also previewed a few new figures from the EZ Collection (the Takara Tomy equivalent to Hasbro's Cyberverse) in both Autobot and Decepticon assortments.
Much of the rest that was shown we've talked about in pretty good depth before so here's a list of everything featured this time around:

King Robo Mickey & Friends are ready for your pre-order
I don't think I need to introduce this figure anymore. Bandai and Disney collaboration project of taking famous Disney characters and giving them their own mecha versions to pilot is really one of those amazing WTF Japan moments? And this WTF moment is now available for pre-order.
The Chogokin Cho Gattai King Robo Mckey & Friends includes Land Goofy, Dash Pluto, Dive Donald, Aqua Daisy, Sky Minnie, Jet Mickey, and Ace Willy to form this mighty 220 mm tall robot of awesomeness. With the pre-order now available, we also get a clear view of every part that forms this Disney powered machine. Each figure has cute cartoon eyes where the visor is at and it looks like maybe all of them can have it switched to show that Disney character piloting the mecha. It's only shown on Mickey but would be snazzy if it's for everyone. We also get to see that Pluto's dog house can be transformed into a shield to be wielded. The figure also comes with a first release pre-order bonus of a six postcard set. What are they of? It's not shown but we can only assume it's postcards full of just as much awesome as this figure.
Bandai's Chogokin Cho Gattai King Robo Mickey & Friends is retailing for a whopping ¥12,800 and will be available in March, 2013. If I wasn't spending a good chunk of cash on another mighty fortress coming out a month before this, I would be all over this figure. What about you though? Pre-ordered and planning your budget? Also, where the heck is our animated Disney Mickey & Friends sentai series?

Tomopop's Big Bad DesignerCon 2012 Roundup (Part 1)
DesignerCon 2012 is this weekend, and the show just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year. That includes the exclusives list, which has grown to monstrous size, it seems. With so much coming to DesignerCon this year, we thought there might be a slightly easier way to show everything off than just a barrage of posts before the show, especially since the news just kept on coming as we were writing about the releases already announced! That's why we've put together one big round-up of everything DesignerCon; not only to help us keep our sanity, but to help you guys and gals find out about everything we know that will be at the show, all in one convenient place. Or at least two, probably; there's so much stuff, this has become a multi-part feature!
Remember: DesignerCon is this Saturday at the Pasadena Convention Center (300 E. Green St.) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific. The price of admission is US$5 in advance and US$7 at the door. Hit the jump to see a taste of what's going to be at the show!

ESC-Toy
ESC-Toy and Erick Scarecrow will be at DesignerCon, starting with a stop to the BAIT booth (#101) for the release of their at-the-con-exclusive, Little Spiker Spitfire (US$140, 16 pieces). It's a great translucent, flame-colored variant of the Little Spiker figure, but not the only fiery thing Erick has this week.
You see, for the rest of us unable to get to Pasadena, Erick is releasing an online exclusive in his shop, the 2 Tails Fireball resin figure (US$130, 11 pieces). It'll be for sale in the ESC-Toy Shop on Friday, Nov. 2, at 9 a.m. Pacific (noon Eastern, 4 p.m. GMT). He'll also have another exclusive (more on that in a second here) and a limited supply of DCON Love posters (US$10) available.
Frombie
Frombie fans are getting a nuce debut at DCon, hidden away in the SpankyStokes booth (#301) with the release of the ESC-Toy x Frombie collab Lurker (US$80). While supplies last, you'll be able to get a free 11-inch-by-17-inch poster and a Lurker pin. Erick will be heading over here after his BAIT appearance for a dual signing session with Frombie's Adam Litvack from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
BeeFy & Co.
Also at BAIT's booth (#101), you'll find BeeFy & Co.'s Big Bad Buddha Stone Edition, limited to just 100 pieces. BeeFy will be signing at the booth from noon to 1 p.m. after Erick's signing session.
Jester/J6Studios
Jester's got something small going on at booth #624 this year. Well, maybe small in size, at least; he's releasing a bunch of new Mini-GibbyGop figures in orange, white, black and pink colorways (4 pieces in each color, 16 in total). He'll also apparently have some BettyGop T-shirts in women's and children's sizes.
Pretty in Plastic
Pretty in Plastic are doing something a little different at DesignerCon; they're holding a bazaar. The event within the event at booth #116 will feature their own products and sone prototype sneak peeks, along with those from Brutherford Industries, Jai & Jai, KARVT, B-PLUS, Miyu Decay, Elliot Jackson, and Amber White. Oh, and they'll have helium balloons there, too!
Blamo Toys
Blamo Toys is teasing that they'll be revealing a new character variation at booth #413, and the above peek seems to indicate it could be a wooden variant of their Hug figure. I'm down with that.
Dragatomi
Sacramento's Dragatomi is bringing along a pair of exclusives for the show. One is a new Ugly Unicorn X-Ray ver. figure from Rampage Toys (US$60, 4 pieces) featuring the Ugly Unicorn in a translucent green color with a visible skeletal structure inside. The other is the green colorway of Jay222's Lady Vengeance figure (US$20, 15 pieces), produced in collaboration with Max Toy Co. So if green's your thing, Dragatomi might be your DCon stop at booth #300.
oddFAUNA
oddFAUNA's DCon exclusives include the little guy you see up there: a cold-cast bronze Ovok statue, with a price not yet revealed. They're also bringing some one-of-a-kind customs painted up for the event that will be on sale at booth #213.
Hyperactive Monkey
Nestled in booth #601 is Hyperactive Monkey and their DCon exclusives. First, there's the Quicksilver version of their Deluxe Ninja Monkey figure (US$75, 25 pieces), which come signed with two katanas, two throwing stars, a kusarigama and a 4-inch-by-6-inch silver foil print. If that's not your style, there's also two 10-Doh! artist proof sets available: the Mini 10-Doh! Ninja Monkey Gaiden figure (US$40, 20 pieces) that comes signed with two katanas, a 5-inch-by-7-inch print and 5-inch-by-7-inch sketch card; or the regular 10-Doh! Hyperactive Monkey Kong figure (US$50, 10 pieces) that comes signed with two 5-inch-by-7-inch prints.
Refreshment
Refreshment is coming all the way from Japan for DesignerCon, and in addition to any figures you might find of theirs in booth #523, you'll also find RESTORE's Debris Japan (US$100) and Dry Head keychain (US$15) in their Diffuse Edition variants!
Furrybones
Booth #516 is home to Furrybones, who's got two exclusives for trhe show. In addition to some Scorchie digital prints (US$10, 2 versions with 25 prints each), Furrybones will have some resin Squeed Rockets (US$25) in five one-off variants: copper, black and chrome, straight black, metallic gold and straight chrome. The Squeed Rockets were designed by Furrybones' Misaki and customized by UltimateOneX.
David Ten (DeeTen)
As he's posted in our very own C-Blogs, DeeTen is bringing a few exclusives to DCon booth #719. He's made some custom Stun Bots (US$60, 10 pieces) and Micro Spider Bots (US$75, 11 pieces), based off the Dunny platform,
Angry Koala Gear
Angry Koala Gear has a debut in booth #318: a new little resing figure called Sporez, with the Pudgy Panda being the first exclusive release in the series. Also at the booth will be some blank Sporez and some custom one-off Sporez figures (including one of DCon mascot Vincent, it seems), along with their Cthulhu Chameleon figure that debuted at Comikaze Expo.
Grenadine Supreme
Grenadine Supreme, in collaboration with Mary Magpie, will be bringing five limited edition Tula-dil Dreamsickle ver. sets to booth #311.
The Barber's Son Studio
The Barber's Son Studio is a toymaker I'm not familiar with, but they've got two exclusives coming along to DCon in booth #421. Unfortunately, we're not too sure of the name for these little guys at the moment (it's not listed on the DCon page for them), but they'll have two variants at the booth: Blackbody Radiation (the black one) and Ultraviolet Catastrophe (the lighter, more violet one).
DeKorner
I think Kristina would like DeKorner's booth (#204) the best, as the Southern California retailer will be the DCon home for MaloApril and MaloOne's Tiffany custom figure series. The customs includes their Day of the Dead-esqe Dunnys, along with Androids, Unicornos and Mini-Berties, with the price varying based on the custom.
Bean Pot Toiz
In addition to bringing along Scott Kinnebrew and Jason Chalker for signings at their booth (#717), Texas' Bean Pot Toiz will apparently be bringing along some colorways of Scott's Buddha Fett resin figure that will feature a triple-layered color combination, with 20 to 25 pieces being available.
Monsterpants
Last but not least in Part 1, we hit up Monsterpants, who will have the Sea-Borg Pinku resin figure (US$35, 30 pieces) at booth #229. And it's not just pink, but a glittery pink.
[Stay tuned for Part 2! There's a lot more we haven't touched on yet!]
