Kotobukiya has only made a handful of Rage of Bahamut figures. You can kind of understand why, because they're all elaborate and super gorgeous. The one that first caught my attention was Dark Angel Olivia, which featured a beautiful blend of detailed sculpting and a vibrant paint job. Now it looks like Kotobukiya will match that effort with their latest release!
Dark Dragoon Forte just went up for pre-order, and she looks every bit as powerful and pretty as Olivia. While the two lances don't have as much of a visual impact as Olivia's wings (I do hold a personal bias toward angels), there's no denying the ambition and intricacy of this figure. The color scheme is actually fairly monochromatic, but a few strategic splashes of red make it come to life. She's 1/8 scale but I'm sure the figure will look a lot bigger due to the crazy weaponry.

Just as Michael Bay always comes back to do the next Transformers movie, it seems now a reliable trend that Michael Bay will choose Chicago as a shooting location. Maybe he just enjoys Portillo's, and I couldn't blame him for that, but whatever the cause it sounds like Chicago will see more robot action. In an interview with WGN Radio's Dean Richards focused on Bay's movie 13 Hours, the subject of Transformers and a return to Chicago come up briefly. Unite Warriors Bruticus was on display at a retailer event in Japan on the 19th, along with other upcoming Transformers items. Unfortunately Bruticus was barred from photography as the set is due to debut in Figure King this month, but reports from the event verify that Blast Off is a new mold, as expected. However, retailer order forms have leaked via TAG Hobby showing a first tiny tiny image of Blast Off and Bruticus with the shuttle arm. There's also a new Adventure Optimus remold and Japanese releases of several 2016 RID toys confirmed. Click through to see all the scans and more info!
