Funko invites you to spend Five Nights at Freddy's
Funko has released news and images for an incredibly wide array of collectibles for the frighteningly popular survival horror video game series Five Nights at Freddy's. And they've even released a trailer for them!
The selection includes articulate figures (each packaged with a build-a-figure piece!), blind-boxed Mystery Minis, 16-inch plushies, smaller plushies (which look to be on scale with Funko's Mopeez plushies), keychains, figurine box sets, and pencils.
The sudden and wide array of merchandise is oddly fitting for a game which has had three sequels in roughly a year. For those unfamiliar with the nightmare-fuel franchise, it's a series of point & click horror survival games where you usually play the role of a security guard hired to watch over animatronics that have been coming to life at night. Do a very bad job and the animatronics kill you.
While I'm a fan of most horror, killer animatronics are one of my phobias so I can't say that I'll be rushing out to stores to pick these up. However, it's great news for anybody who's waited about a year since the first game came out for collectibles.
The pencils are due out in March, the keychains in April, and everything else will release in May.
(Note: This is the first time that Funko has done a BAF. Hopefully we'll see more in the future.)
