Thanks to Stanley Cheung, we have a look at an early prototype for the second figure from Sparktoys. Naturally following from their Optimus-based figure, ST02 is Megatron also based on Dreamwave's War Within design. The figure is seen in both modes, though the low res images offer little but the basic details to be seen at this point. More looks at this are likely to follow soon, so in the meantime click through to get your first look.
While the wish for actual Combiner Wars Scourge/Sweeps will likely go unfulfilled for the foreseeable future, one enterprising fan has made do in the meantime. SkyQuake, who has for some time designed custom connector parts to add other figures to CW torsos has apparently worked out a method to attach Generations Scourge as arms and legs, finally making a version of the Galvatronus many probably really want. No information right now on how the connection works, but it's a pretty cool looking solution. Keep reading to check out the photos!
Unite Warriors Menasor will be released this month, and Hisashi Yuki is promoting it with some Twitter photos. In the latest, he shows a Menasor with the components arranged a bit differently than usual. Everyone sports some variation, though some of it eliminates points of articulation from Menasor, seemingly to trade knee joints for effective ankle tilts to perhaps aid the combined mode's stability. TMan from our forums has posted a new video review, looking at a Shapeways project from Ariel's Customs, designed by fakebusker83. This two piece accessory set replaces the axe part with a gun and spoiler wing that can be put together in a couple different ways or used separately in robot mode, as well as improving the function of the mold's combiner torso integration. The set features Age of Extinction Generations Dinobots in G1 colors, with new headsculpts to represent the original five: Grimlock, Snarl, Slag/Slug, Sludge/Slog, and Swoop/Strafe!
