Transformers Adventure, the TakaraTomy equivalent to our current RID line is certainly a wackier place, as evidenced by half of a a new versus pack. "Phantomjaw" is a police-deco version of Steeljaw for no obvious reason at all, except that it's an entertaining thing to do, and it's hard to argue with such logic. Alfes2010 has posted a photo shoot so you can get a good look at this figure, packed with a seemingly unchanged copy of Strongarm. We have a few photos mirrored, so keep reading to see those and get a link back to the gallery.
In advance of a proper photo review post, Alfes2010 has tweeted a series of quick photos of the just-released UW-01 Aerialbots set, showing each of the individual toys compared against their Hasbro equivalents, and then just for fun the original G1 toys. Right now we're still trying to determine whether Superion's antennae are soft plastic like the Hasbro release, but hopefully that answer will present itself soon. In the meantime, check out these first photos!
Entertainment Earth has just posted that in association with Hasbro, they'll be handing out free diorama backdrops based on either Transformers or My Little Pony with a purchase from the EE booth at SDCC next month. The Transformers backdrop is based on the Autobot Command Center from the original cartoon, and measures 9.5 x 11 inches, making it suitable for use with a wide range of toys.
