Make it a shrine festival date with Aniplex+'s Mami figure
Aniplex+ is back again with another Madoka Magica girl clad in their best kimono. Joining Madoka and Homura is figure number three, Mami (Maiko edition) in a very cute pink kimono. The detail is quite exceptional with lots of bright and vivid colors, every piece covered in flower petals. Her hair has some very intricately sculpted and painted decorations and even her bright blue fan looks great! Just like with the other two this is certainly a figure made to impress. As if that wasn't enough she also comes with a little Charlotte figure laughing at her feet.
The figure itself is 1/8 scale and stands at 190 mm. She's expected to be released in April at US$119.98. As an Aniplex+ exclusive she's only available directly through Right Stuf or Akiba Anime. Pre-order cutoff to guarantee a figure is October 31, but both shops have ordered additional figures in the past to continue taking orders after the date, though you're taking a big chance!
Oh, and check the gallery for a preview of the Sayaka and Kyouko figures!

going with the flow magazine
I love the bookstore. My husband starts rolling his eyes every time I start huffing the book bindings, which I do, liberally. They smell so damn good. And now, I can finally see Birdie loving bookstores too – for more than the chance to beg for a new toy or another coloring book. Today, my friends, […]

Black Butler's Sebastian is simply one hell of an awesome RAH figure
Sebastian Michaelis of Black Butler was recently revealed to be the latest in Medicom Toy's Real Action Heroes line of figures. AmiAmi Blog's preview highlighted the demon-turned-butler's accessories and various poses. He comes with three interchangeable facial expressions (neutral with a slight smirk, winking, and a sideways glance) and two different hair parts (normal and swept to the side). That's not even mentioning the whole set of of cutlery (fans know why), the tea set with tray, and the candelabra plus two interchangeable sets of hands to hold them all.
And while that is all very impressive, I was most blown away by the detail in Sebastian's outfit. They even got his pocket watch and his gloves and tailcoat are removable! The subtly different tones in fabric were also a lovely touch. I'm not going to lie; if I were to buy a RAH, Sebastian would be the one. But like all figures in the Real Action Heroes series, they are darn expensive. Sebastian will set you back ¥23,760. He is listed on AmiAmi right now but the pre-order won't go live until midnight Japan Time on September 24. RAH Sebastian Michaelis is estimated to ship in late June 2015.
