Capo Toys' second Street Fighter Kickstarter going better than the first

Capo Toys, the would-be creator of a Street Fighter action figure line, has made a second attempt at crowdfunding their line after the original kickstarter campaign failed miserably (obtaining only US$8,079 of.its overly ambitious US$85,000 goal).

The new campaign offers up more of the line (instead of just Ryu) and is already at US$12,000+ in contributions although it still seems on track for failure given its ludicrous US$550,000 target. As for why the company needs funding in the first place, there was apparently a dispute among the partners where the group allegedly tried to cut out the company's artist/co-founder, campaign creator Rocco Tartamel (who declined to return our emails).

To Tartamel's credit, the packages are somewhat more enticing because you can select the specific characters you're interested in rather than just buying a Ryu and hoping that your support will eventually help the others to appear. To Tartamel's discredit, the goals for these campaigns seem almost completely out of touch with some other companies' offerings. The Four Horsemen's Gothitropolis Kickstarter, for instance, closed with over US$300,000 in pledges for the series *but* the company's target was only US$65,000. Granted, the Gothitropolis stuff shared parts but, even comparing that to the original Ryu-only campaign, it came in twenty grand cheaper on the target. I'm assuming that at least part of the expense is tied into the fact that Tartamel doesn't have the Horsemen's existing infrastructure but something seems a bit off here.

I still wish Tartamel all the luck in the world and I'm strongly considering putting in a pledge for a Sagat, but I just can't see this thing getting funded. It's certainly not a bad line (it even features fabric clothing for added poseability!), it's just that the targets don't seem realistic.

Frankenstein Day is one of the coolest holidays I just discovered five minutes ago

Funko has tweeted an image of its ReAction Frankenstein (or Adam/Frankenstein's Monster) and the Bride of Frankenstein in honor of Frankenstein Day, a holiday of which I had never heard until said tweet.

The holiday, which celebrates author Mary Shelley's birthday, is apparently a real thing although I'm not sure as to the history of the holiday or how widely it's observed. I am sure, however, that Funko's ReAction horror figures are totally awesome. I'm usually not a fan of the ReAction line but I've been genuinely impressed by these offerings.

Checking out this figma Flyboy Zombie preview gallery is a no-brainer

Max Factor has released a preview gallery for its upcoming Dawn of the Dead figma "Flyboy" (pilot Stephen Andrews) Zombie which highlights alternate parts like a blood burst for the head, an interchangeable "exploded" leg, and an interchangeable head you can stick a machete in. Basically this figure features a LOT of spoilers for thirty+ year old films.

The original Dawn of the Dead is something of a classic (the new one was pretty cool as well, love that bedroom scene) and it's been cool (but also a little odd) to see it honored with this figma. Max Factory has really managed to capture some gruesome detail with the figure. I absolutely love the extreme blood drip all along the front of the figure and the choice of accessories are just too awesome. For all you horror-hounds out there, expect pre-orders to open in the very near future.

Also, my sincere apologies for everybody who was waiting to see this film. Although, in fairness, you probably should have seen it when it first came out on laser disc... or later when it came out on VHS... or even later when it came out on DVD... or when it was finally released on Blu-ray about seven years ago.

My New Multi Season Multi Holiday Mini Mixed Media 3-Tier Art Blocks

My mother always loved to decorate for the various holidays and various seasons and loved decorating her home with handmade decorations either she had made or were made for her by her children.   So, when my mother down sized and moved into a senior citizen apartment many years ago she didn't have a lot of room to store or display her seasonal and holiday decorations.

In thinking about this over the years I thought about handmade decorations that could be left out for several holidays and several seasons.  Something that wouldn't take a lot of room.  Something you could bring out in September and leave out until March.

Well, light dawned on me one day and multi holiday and multi season mixed media 3-level collage art blocks seemed to fit the bill.  The multi level wood blocks would be perfect for a multi seasonal multi holiday mixed media collage decoration that could be left out for many months.

Since the Fall, Christmas, and Winter seasons are my favorite times of the year I thought my blocks should have a Fall side,  a Christmas side, a Winter side, and a Halloween side.  And, best of all, they could be left out for 7 months.  All you'd have to do was turn the block for the season or holiday you wanted.

I ended up creating two 9" x 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" 3-tier mixed media collage art block towers with  a Fall side,  a Christmas side, a Winter side, and a Halloween side and two 4 1/2" x 2" x 2" mixed media mini art lock towers with a Fall side,  a Christmas side, a Winter side, and a Halloween side.

Fall, Halloween, Christmas, and Winter 3-Tier Handmade Mixed Media Art Collage Cube Mini Tower  - 4 1/2" x 2" x 2"

If you're looking for a decoration that doesn't take up a lot of room and can be left out from September 1st until March 31st our 3-tier Fall, Halloween, Christmas, and Winter mixed media art collage mini cube tower would be a perfect fit.

With a Fall side,  a Christmas side, a Winter side, and a Halloween side all you have to do is turn the block for the season or holiday you want.

Our decoration is perfect for anyone with limited space for displaying decorations and limited space for storing decorations.
