Peter The Primitive Farmer - Adorable Pattern and Handmade Shelf Sitter Doll

$

Peter The Primitive Farmer believes that every day should be spent working hard and providing for your family. There is nothing like a good hard day of labor.

He gets up in the wee hours of the morning to start working on his farm.

Margaret, being the dutiful farmer's wife that she is, gets up even earlier than her husband. Why? Because she has to prepare his breakfast so he has plenty of energy for working all day.

He is a free standing primitive doll with a cloth body. Peter has an embroidered face and a few strands of straight brown hair. He is wearing his grungiest denims with button decorated pockets and straps, fringed flannel shirt with buttons, flannel lined hat, and red bandanna for all the sweat. He is coffee stained throughout and is carrying a flour sack.

Margaret The Dutiful Farmer's Wife believes that she should do everything that she can to help her husband, Peter. So, she always has a home cooked meal ready for him at the end of a hard day of labor and at the beginning of the day so he has enough energy for all the demands of the farm.

Margaret gets up so early in the morning to prepare breakfast for Peter that at the end of the day she is a little tired. Peter understands this and when Margaret falls asleep on the sofa he just lets her sleep. She works so hard. She deserves her rest, too.

Margaret is a free standing primitive doll with a cloth body and an embroidered face. She is wearing a lace trimmed dress and fringed apron. Her straight brown hair is unruly underneath her lace trimmed bonnet. She is coffee stained throughout and is carrying a pail to milk the cows.

SDCC 2014: QMx

If you're a sci-fi fan, you should really know about QMx (Quantum Mechanix). Their entire existence is like a love letter to all of my favorite sci-fi TV franchises. At SDCC this year, the marquee features were two large scale (about three feet long!) models of Firefly's Serenity, and the U.S.S. Reliant from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Click on to see those two ships and some of the highlights of the booth.

Metallic Hikari Michelangelo will allow you to complete your metallic TMNT set

What are you doing this weekend? If you're starting your weekend early at SDCC, you have the chance to pick up Funko's Hikari Metallic Michelangelo at the Nickelodeon booth (#3114). If not, you have the usual chance to win one on Funko's Facebook page.

Metallic Michelangelo is the final figure needed to complete a Metallic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line-up, as his announcement follows that of Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello. Like his three sofubi brothers, Metallic Michelangelo is limited to a 500-piece run although he'll be a bit harder to get your hands since he's being sold at SDCC (doubly hard if you aren't actually at SDCC).

No word on a price point yet, but the other metallic deco turtles were listed for around US$50.

SDCC 2014: Hasbro - Marvel - Everything else

Hasbro's non-Marvel Legends at the Marvel part of the booth were a little underwhelming when Tomopop's SDCC team visited yesterday, although some items might be added to the case later on.

There were a lot of upcoming or recently released 3.75-inch Marvel Infinite figures, but there didn't seem to be any new ones. The kid-friendly 3.75-inch Amazing Spider-Man 2 line is apparently picking up a few new figures including a movie Green Goblin and a weird Rhino repaint (first seen in the Fiercest Foes line... and then repacked into a MU 2-pack); it basically looks like the first Rhino we saw but with a painted black face.

The Marvel Superhero Mashers looks like it may have added a thing or two, as I don't recognize the Electro or the Iron Monger. Hasbro also some kiddy gimmick "Battle Master" line which consists of super-deformed characters with what could be either a rock-em sock-em function or a launcher. The figures on display for this line included Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Wolverine. While I'd normally pick one up for the novelty, these are surprisingly expensive with a US$15 MSRP for the single-packed figures and US$25 for a 2-pack.

Hasbro's oversimplified line "Titan Heroes line" (which are 10-inch or 12-inch tall) has apparently added Spider-Man 2099, Doctor Doom, and others to its roster. I'm a little annoyed that Spidey 2099 seems to pop up everywhere except for in Hasbro's Legends lines.

Check out the photos in the gallery.

DAY ONE for San Diego Comic Con 2014 concludes (so does "Preview Night" technically "Day Zero"? I'm always confused lol), and these are a smattering of images culled from online sources (except from active bread-n-butter toy newsites - a general "rule" I naively like to adhere to ;p) - for your viewing considerations! Meanwhile I continue to Tweet @toysrevil and Facebook regularly! Two More Days

SDCC 2014: Hasbro shows off even more new Transformers

It's hard to believe that with so many new Transformers yet to be released from Toy Fair in February and BotCon back in June that there would be anything left to show at San Diego Comic Con. Well, believe it, they've got more!

At Hasbro's Transformers Breakfast Thursday morning they've given us a very early first look at the first figures in their new Transformers: Combiner Wars sub-line with Aerialbots Superion and Stunticons Menasor! Both teams feature Voyager class figures as their central leader with Deluxe figures making up the limbs. It appears that all eight Deluxe figures are new molds or at lest slight variations on multiple molds. However, as suspected, Stunticon leader Motormaster is a remold of the Optimus Prime figure revealed back at BotCon. Even more interesting is that both teams also make use of a surprise sixth member. Superion is shown using Legends Powerglide (also shown at BotCon) as a gun, while Menasor's chest shield is a yet unrevealed legends car. Keep in mind that these are very early hand painted prototypes, they're even being held together with glue, but they appear to have learned from every mistake they made with the Fall of Cybertron Combaticons.

Then came Hasbro's Transformers panel were there were more reveals and some general clarification on some of the things said back at BotCon. Starting with Kre-O they revealed new figures of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. This time around they finally caught on and made it so you can build and transform them without having to take them apart again (as it should have been from the start). For Age of Extinction Generations figures they pointed out that the Platinum Edition Optimus Prime and Grimlock set will actually be a Kmart exclusive while Silver Knight Optimus Prime is a Target exclusive. This is the first time Platinum Edition figures have been sold in a physical store other than Toys R Us. They also revealed that Amazon will be getting a G1 repaint of Slog to go with the SDCC exclusive set. There was also mention that Masterpiece Grimlock might be making a return trip to Toys R Us soon.

They then went into more detail on the Combiner Wars series explaining that the title will be used as the central theme for all Generations figures (aside from the movie figures) for 2015. The Deluxe figures will include comics that reveal the origins of the teams. Like with the original G1 figures the Deluxe figures are interchangeable and all use the same connection piece to form either arms or legs. They also pointed out that the new Voyager Optimus Prime can indeed combine with either team as well! Art shown for combined Optimus appears to have Combaticon Blastoff as his right arm so take that as you will.

Unfortunately there have been a few name changes thanks to copyright losses over the years. Fireflight is now Firefly and Slingshot is now Alpha Bravo (I really hope that's temporary, he's also a helicopter now), while Wildrider is completely replaced by truck Offroad. Here's what release waves for Generations look like in 2015. Of course there will likely be much more released later.

  • Deluxe Wave 1: Firefly, Skydive, Alpha Bravo, Dragstrip
  • Deluxe Wave 2: Air Raid, Dead End, Breakdown, Offroad
  • Voyager Wave 1: Silverbolt, Optimus
  • Voyager Wave 2: Motormaster

Only a small amount of time was spent talking about next year's Transformers: Robots in Disguise animated series. They revealed One-Step Changers for Sideswipe and Decepticon Underbite, Legends figures for fembot Strongarm and Optimus Prime, and what they're calling Warrior class Bumblebee.

That appears to be it for reveals from SDCC. It's a little lighter than years past and surprisingly there was nothing new revealed for the movie which could mean they might be putting that line to rest pretty quickly. Enjoy the gallery!
