Tamashii Nations' next SDCC exclusive is Armored Black Ranger
I'm sure you all remember the episode of MMPR. Sure, it was 20 years ago but you remember it like it was yesterday. Zack needs to overcome the odds, Tommy lends him his shield and we get the Armored Black Ranger. It was an episode made for just the U.S. and the figure representation thereof will only be available at San Diego Comic Con.
Just as with its fellow SDCC exclusive SHF Vegeta, it's a re-deco of an existing figure. If you don't already have the standard SHF MMPR Black Ranger, here's your alternative. It's what we've come to expect for SDCC Tamashii exclusives. Heck, I even called it back in my review of the original. No word on pricing just yet, but that detail should come shortly. For now, enjoy the photos and the fact that there won't be one of these for Billy.

Here's the first Gunpla from the new Gundam series
The late summer of 2014 will see the entry of the latest Gundam television series, Reconguista in G. Being the brainchild of original Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino, I'm looking very much toward this series. As the series will be premiering soon, the Gunpla have to come soon after and today we're getting our first look at the first kit to be released.
Starting things off will be the G-Self, which is the Gundam we're introduced to in the few PVs released. Kits will begin with the released of the 1/144 High Grade of the G-Self along with the Grimoire. Each of these kits is just given the release date of 2014, but I'm expecting these to be released in late August/September. The G-Self will cost you ¥1,600 while the Grimoire will be ¥1,400.
I'm really liking the G-Self, but I imagine some will be turned off due to the Aile Strike/Force Impulse style backpack. It's got a unique look for my tastes, so I'm looking forward to the kit. I can tell though that this will probably be a bit sticker-heavy, but that's what my brushes and paint are for. In any case, I think I know what I'm getting to end my summer with.

The next DBZ S.H. Figuarts release might be legendary
Yes, the picture you see above you has been pixelated. Oh, just what could it be? It could be just about anything! Well, it's Broly. How do I know? Look just beneath the pixels and you can see the reflection of the legendary Super Saiyan's boots.
It's no surprise really as Broly was one of the most requested figures. People wanted more villains and we're getting that. I'm glad that we're getting a bigger scale figure and I'm hoping it turns out right. After Nappa has seemingly been relegated to prototype-only status, it'll be nice to have a figure that actually has some heft compared to Goku and crew. Now we just have to see how this actually turns out and when we can actually get our hands on it.
