Miyazawa Model Exhibition Spring 2014: Phat! Company's Kosaki Onodera
Though I'm only one volume of the manga into Nisekoi, I'm actually pretty pleased to see that one of the characters is getting a figure. Phat! Company was showing a prototype of Kosaki Onodera, the girl who is basically not moving the plot forward at the point of the story I'm at because she's too shy and scared to talk to the main dude.
Though I'd much rather see a figure of Chitoge, who doesn't look like a generic schoolgirl, I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of Kosaki all painted up in the near future. We've got two shots of this cutie in the gallery, which were snapped by GSC's Kahotan.

you’ll flip for these modern flip dolls
Do you remember the old traditional flip dolls? I remember fairy tale versions: one side was Little Red Riding Hood, the other was the Wolf in Grandma’s glasses. They were more about the story, and less about the cuddle factor, at least that’s how I remember the dolls I knew. Sophie & Lili has turned […]

Miyazawa Model Exhibition Spring 2014: More Tetsudou Musume Nendoroids
The Tetsudou Musume Nendoroid line is certainly growing, as what started with Alice and Marina is now expanding to include Monden Sakura and Kurihashi Minami. We saw both at WonFes, but they were only at Miyazawa Model Exhibition in placard form. However, we do get a bit more info on them: a glimpse at some of the train-themed accessories that the ladies will come with. Sakura's crossing gate looks especially fun and useful for some wacky photo shoots.
While we still await release dates for the ladies (at this point, I'm guessing sometime in the fall or winter is likely), we do have retail price points: ¥4,000 for Minami and ¥4,200 for Sakura. Anyone thinking of picking up either of these lovely ladies?

Dead Ben Rises
Miyazawa Model Exhibition Spring 2014: QuesQ steps up their game.
It seems to be the modus operandi of QuesQ to buy up garage kits and release them as PVC figures. They've picked up a few interesting kits and gearing up to raid our wallets!
We've known for some time that they purchased the Grizzry Panda Busou Shinki kits but now we at least get a colour shot of the pair. Still no word on a release date beyond this year. A price tag of ¥21,000 is rather steep but I'm betting that the price is for the pair rather than selling separately.
In addition to the shinki pair, quesQ showed off some additional acquisitions in the shape of two Kantai Collection kits and two from Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio. Kirishima and Shimakaze represent the KanColle set while Iona and Takao wave the flag for Arpeggio. All four are garage kits which were seen at recent events. In fact, I'm fairly certain that the Shimakaze is the original kit, hence why she's in full colour while the others are all prototypes. Takao looks awesome as always but quesQ are still an unknown quantity seeing as these releases are more complex than their usual fare and their Misaka from Shingeki no Kyojin isn't looking all that hot from the promotional pics... Here's hoping they have better luck getting it right with these new kits. I really want them to nail those shinki kits.
