Disney characters go Star Wars for new Disney Parks merch
I love visiting the Disney Parks and I am not ashamed to admit that one of the highlights for me is checking out all of the imaginative merchandise available for purchase. Set to arrive this March are the big thing for fans of the Star Wars-themed ride, Star Tours: new action figures of Disney characters cosplaying as creatures and people from the Star Wars universe. Donald's nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, are Jawas. Stitch is General Grievous. Donald Duck is the Clone Trooper, Commander Cody. Goofy is Cad Bane the bounty hunter. And, Daisy Duck is Aurra Sing. All and all, and impressive arrangement. If memory serves, there is another batch of Star Wars/ Disney action figures available at the parks. But, they are based on the fourth, fifth, and six movies in the storyline (starting with A New Hope).
These figures are only available at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. They will not be found at the Disney Parks online store. However, those without travel plans can order them (in March) by calling the Merchandise Services at 1-877-560-6477 or emailing merchandiseguestservices@

This whale toy was inspired by my son's love for whales. My boys seem to inspire me a lot :)
I made one in cotton and one in fleece. Fleece stretches a bit, that makes the shape a bit different.

Bring on the Day of the Dead (and other holidays)
Day of the Dead isn't for a long time, but Etsy seller Cart Before the Horse (Dylan & Jo folk art) is a lovely shop with lots of dolls themed by holidays, folk stories or Wonderland (at a glance). That and, I just love sugar skull designs.
Super Punch spotlit some pretty Day of the Dead dolls (header) that led me to the shop and I'm glad I got to take a look at their wares! You should too, and enjoy the lovely designs these folks have to offer in handicrafts. You could also check out the gallery for a small selection of the various items in their shop (linked above).
