I'm a little late here (Kid Robot's preview post is dated Feb. 9), but considering that 64Colors are in Miami tonight doing a signing for the release of this gorgeous Dunny I figured I'd do up a little post about it. You see, I'm a little bit sad I couldn't make it to my local KR store to meet the makers and maybe even get a sketch by them.

Today is the official launch day of this 8" Dunny which is limited to only 1,200 pieces worldwide and costs only US$75. Here's the description that comes with it:

I roam the forest keeping a watchful eye for those who disrespect that which is sacred and in decline.
Beware and do not destroy, or I will descent upon you with a mighty fury and vengeance that is swift and absolute.

You could check out the gallery to see a few images of the lovely piece and if you happen to live in San Francisco, you could catch 64Colors at that local KR store tomorrow night for the release and signing.

I love pretty much anything that 64Colors comes out with, so that this will probably be featured in this month's DO WANT column is a given. What about you folks?

A Little Bit On The Ladies of SEGA Side: This is a collectible phone strap series featuring ladies from various SEGA titles. I’ve got to be honest, aside from Ulala from Space Channel 5 the chick from Valkyria Chronicles, and Amy from the Sonic games, I barely recognize any of those other chicks.

This gives me an idea, SEGA should make an all-girls fighting game made up of heroines from all their past and present franchises. Like SNK Gals’ Fighter for Neo Geo Pocket Color, but better.

In her never-ending popularity, yet another Kanu Unchou figure is on the horizon, courtesy of the fine folks over at Griffon. This one seems to be based on the artwork of one of the DVDs, given the title of "DVD Back Jacket ver.", though as I'm not exactly a connoisseur of the series I couldn't say for certain.

That being said, it's a surprisingly demure figure of one who's usually posed with polearm in hand or in some forwardly sexy stance. It's still anything but safe for polite company, of course, but it's an interesting different side of the character, if a simple one. She'll be available this April for around ¥7,400, and you can get pre-orders in now.

Most of my readers know by now that I adore Cissette, Madame Alexander's 10" doll. There is something about her baby face and MA's attention to detail in their fashions that I love.

There are at least 15 new Cissette dolls and a few "male Cissettes" (how can there be a male Cissette?) I will show only a few in this post but you can click HERE to go to the MA 2012 collection of all new dolls.

ThreeA's Metal Gear Rex is US$490, on sale March 2 screenshot

Finally, after a long, long, long wait, ThreeA Toys has announced the release date and price for its 1/48-scale Metal Gear Rex. In fact, it's such a big release, it's getting its own newsletter next week, but for now, the 3AVOX edition for this week provides us with a few more details and photos.

As reported earlier, Rex will be US$490 and will be on sale March 2 at 9 a.m. Hong King time (8 p.m. March 1 Eastern) in the Bambaland store. Additionally, we have a ton of new photos of the colored Rex to whet our appetites, and this is looking amazing in camo. I know some of you said you were looking forward to it, so enjoy the photos in our gallery!
