Make your own valentine and win a Funko Castiel Pop!
It’s officially February, so that means Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Can’t you just feel the love in the air? Ok, well I just smell chocolate and that’s good enough for me.
My favorite part about this day is giving out valentine cards to all the people I care about. It’s even better when you make the valentine yourself, and that brings us to the contest! Here at Tomopop we love toys, and if you’re here, so do you.
So we want you to show that love by making a valentine for your favorite figure or fictional character. You can make your valentine any way you want. You can write it, draw it, bake it, knit it, etc.
Whatever you choose to do, make sure you take a picture and submit it in the comments here. Your valentine can be cute, sweet, creepy, funny, any way you want. Just be creative!
For example, one of my favorite figures is my Rick Grimes Pop! so I crocheted him a little heart he can hold. Hopefully you’ll be much more creative than me. The best submission we get will win an exclusive Funko Supernatural Castiel Pop! figure. I know what you're thinking, and the answer is yes, you can make a valentine for Castiel!
You’ll have until February 15 to submit your entries.

Transformers 4 Age of Extinction - Super Bowl XLVII Special Surprise From Micheal Bay?
Tomopop Review: Bandai's Figuarts ZERO Sanji Battle Ver.
One of my critiques with male figures are their boring poses. Like it or not, female figures tend to be posed in a variety of ways to direct attention toward their copious assets. Dudes just kind of stand there, usually with their legs slightly apart and with their hips jutting out. While that works for keeping a figure properly balanced, it doesn't do much to impress. As most One Piece figures are men, I have dozen's of figures that are well sculpted, if not impressive to look at.
One of the characters that deserves better is Sanji. The Straw Hats's chef only fights with his legs, leading to some impressive fights where he's flipping around and doing hand stands to deliver feet into his opponents' face. However, we usually get Sanji just standing around and looking either cocky or pervy. BORING.
Seemingly in response to such complaints, Bandai has released several battler versions of popular One Piece characters. This version of Sanji that I'm reviewing is from that line and boy, am I happy that somebody listened to my complaints. Hit the jump to see why you need this figure in your collection!

Check out some pirate booby in AM Velvet gallery
Akiba Hobby has released a photo gallery for AlphaMax's recently released Shining Ark Velvet which shows off Velvet's ample treasure chest. Sure, her pirate booty is nice as well but I've been more into pirate boobies.
If that wasn't enough, Velvet also features some cast-off parts in the form of an optional hat and skirt. While I can't imagine anybody would want to take off the hat (which would turn her from a hot pirate to just a hot girl with an interesting bikini top), it's always nice to have the option. I love Velvet's pose and the attention paid to her curves. She definitely looks good enough to launch a few ships.
Those planning on looting this treasure should consider doing so quickly before that ship sails, as the figure is already sold out at a few places despite Velvet's hearty price tag. Be sure to check out the additional photos in the gallery or the full set over at Akiba Hobby.
