Taiwan Anime Event
The anime, cosplay and doujin event Fancy Frontier takes place 4 times a year. The large events are called Fancy Frontier (FF) and the smaller events are Petit Fancy (PF). FF 19 took place last weekend and comrades at Aniarc went along to take some photos for us.
Looked like a load of fun! I could not make it this time but plan to attend the next FF in July where I will be setting up a booth too. Will also be having Culture Japan Night Taiwan Summer Edition too.
And here is some video footage of the event.
Are you or have you been attending any anime events this year? If so which ones?

MOVIC has various little ladies for Wonder Festival
Wonder Festival 2012 [Winter] is getting closer and several of the big faces in the figure maker world will be at the event. One of those companies is MOVIC who is known mostly for the KareKore (Color Collection) series of super deformed figures. This event is no exception to that series of figures. The company will have a set of these 40mm tall figures from both Mawaru Penguindrum and Rewrite. Mawaru Penguindrum will have eight figures to collection with three of them being the penguins. Rewrite will have six figures to collect.
MOVIC is not limiting itself to little ladies in their Color Collection series. The company also has the little lady Kud Wafter, Noumi Kudryavka. This skirt lifting, panty showing 1/8 scale limited edition figure features a pearl coat of paint for a shinier outfit. She'll be available at the event for ¥6,000.
Finally, MOVIC will be displaying a figure at Wonder Festival that is interesting release. From the school comedy manga Kakko-Kawaii Sengen! comes the 160mm tall Kao-chan. The figure will be selling for 3,150 and will be available in April, 2012.
Nothing ultimately interesting but products to catch the eyes of some folks. That isn't to say this is all MOVIC has planned for Wonder Festival. With all the major companies attending the event, MOVIC might have some surprises as well as all the other companies. I guess we'll find out on February 12, 2012 when Wonder Festival 2012 [Winter] happens.
