Entertainment Earth has apparently shot first with their repeated reveals of Hasbro's upcoming 6-inch Star Wars Black Greedo. Each week, the retailer revealed additional details concerning the development of the minor (yet memorable) Star Wars rogue finally ending with photos of a completed, painted version.

Greedo, whose one great claim to fame is getting shot by Han Solo in a Mos Eisley cantina, has long been a cult favorite for his interesting design and brief film appearance. Greedo's scene was infamously catapulted into controversy following an edit in 1997 re-release of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope when Greedo was shown to have shot first. The ensuing fan outrage has spurred several revisions with George Lucas now standing by the assertion that Greedo always shot first.

Hasbro's Star Wars Black Greedo largely looks fantastic, the figure well-capturing Greedo's movie appearance. While the coloring may seem a little bright at first glance, it appears to be in-line with Greedo's rather tacky taste in clothing as seen in the film. I personally can't wait to get my hands on a Greedo.

In an interesting side-note, it appears that Greedo won't shoot first to stores as Han Solo will make it there first as part of wave 2. StarWarsFigureen.com alleges that the wave 2 selection will consist of Boba Fett, EPIV Han Solo, Slave Leia, and an EPIII Anakin Skywalker. Hm, I wonder if this might spawn a "Han Solo shot to stores first" t-shirt.

His name is Berberis, but the "dollies" have decided to call their new alpaca cousin "Thor."

    Why?

Well, they just love him and think he's going to be a lightning bolt of energy.  So, they've nicknamed him "Thor."

Berberis was born July 11, 2013 at 2:45 at  Rock Garden Alpacas. His Mom is Sunflower  and it looks like he'll be light fawn in color.

How adorable is he sitting with his Mom in the picture above......

  • 07/13/13--04:57: Flying Car Approved by FAA
  • People have been building “flying cars” for around 80 years, the only problem has been that most people willing to test them out complain it either drives terrible or flies terrible … This actually looks good as a plane and probably flies fine but it still looks downright ugly as a car … from Terrafugia [...]

It was just Wednesday when Kotobukiya announced that its ARTFX Vash the Stampede was getting a variant in the form of "The Gunman in Black." That version of the Humanoid Typhoon won't be out until December, but if you were undecided before, perhaps the addition of a new bonus will interest you.

The Gunman in Black will also include a variant head, which can be swapped out with the original ARTFX Vash. This variant is more like the original Vash, just with his hair having black streaks along the sides. He hasn't used up all of his power, so most of his hair is still there. The Gunman in Black special edition will be available as a pre-sale at WonFes with it later appearing on the Kotobukiya limited shop. At the show, he'll be available for in pre-sales for ¥9,500 and ¥9,975 on the web shop.

The additional head is a bonus for WonFes, so there's no word if it'll make its way into the U.S. release. We'll see more of the finished product along with many more at WonFes in two weeks, so stay tuned.

The focus of the Tamashii Features event this weekend has been to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the S.H. Figuarts. Since the line was an offshoot of a Kamen Rider figure line, the focus has been on Kamen Rider SHF. With the announcement of the new body and Kamen Rider Kabuto renewal version, there are few other figures on display.

Previously not seen before is a SHF of the Utopia Dopant from Kamen Rider W. It's the last major villain that hasn't had a release, so it's not too shocking to see it there. However, it is just a display piece and has no zero confirmation for a release.

What does have confirmation is Alternative Zero from Kamen Rider Ryuuki. Easily my favorite design from Ryuuki, the dark blue, black and gold make for a nice color palate. I'm glad that he's getting an S.H. Figuarts as his previous figure, one of the early S.I.C., broke in half from just posing in half. It will be nice to have an Alternative Zero that doesn't break in half. It will be available in November for ¥3,675.

Every Kamen Rider SHF and Figuarts Zero is on display at the show, including a couple that will soon be released. Check them out in the gallery below.

Best thing about Transformers is that they can be, and do, pretty much anything. The only real limiter is the imagination. We've seen big things like entire planets and cities, medium things like space shuttles and jets, small things like microscopes and toasters, and scary things like monsters and dinosaurs. Really as long as the subject has some amount of mass it isn't off limits.

Yet people will often balk at the idea of a character that usually turns into a truck being reimagined as a car. Why? I really can't say, just can't handle change I guess. As long as there's a compelling enough reason I'm fine with that.

So, here comes Takara Tomy's latest attempt to rebuild Optimus Prime into something that isn't a semi truck.. In this case he's taking on the form of a Super GT race car. The story is that a handful of Transformers wanted to buildup Transformer-human relations and felt the best way to do that was on the race track. Sure, I guess I'll buy that, beats some of the other more confounded story lines Takara Tomy has come up with.

Follow me after the jump and we'll take a closer look at the number one figure of this new line: GT-R Prime!

Check out these great Batman Costume Cosplay photos shared by our friend Marcio ( That's him in the Dark Knight Bat-Suit! ). These pics were shot at the recent 2013 SUPER-HERO CON in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on July 6th.

Also, it looks like Batman is a pretty popular character there and everybody had a great time. I wish I could have been there. Thank you Marcio for sharing your fun pics. As a side-note I should say that I totally love the fact that somebody dressed-up as Robin, the "Carrie Kelley" version. That's so cool!
