Now, I might not be the biggest Evangelion fan--blasphemy, I know--I do know a good character when I see one. If you ask me, Mari Illustrious Makinami is easily the best thing to happen to the series in years. Forget the manga side stories, the weird games, and forget everything else about Rebuild. For my money, I'd be happy with just Mari.
Not only is she a cute glasses-wearing redhead with a really kickass name, but she's a complete and utter psychopath. Does it get any better? Why yes, it does! Thanks to this upcoming release from Yamato, we can also see she pulls off a school uniform like no one else in the cast, making an otherwise rather plain outfit very attractive. Plus, you just know she's plotting something with that curious look to the side.
While she won't be available til July, you can pre-order her now. I know she seems to be a love or hate character, but hopefully I'm not the only Mari fan out there!
