Fans of Gintama who have been waiting for the next man to pop up will have much to squeal about. You've already had Shinsuke (reviewed) show up which brought you much delight. Now you have that scary Yato brother of Kagura to throw your money at, Kamui.
Pre-orders have opened for MegaHouse's 1/8-scale G.E.M. series Kamui who comes with his trusty Yato umbrella and cape to look like that cool guy in the wind. Surpisingly, Kamui includes two additional faces along with his standard face. It wouldn't be Kamui though, if he didn't include the many faces that he carries which are his usual closed eyes face, his face with those evil eyes, and the scariest face of all, him with those innocent blues and smile. You can also remove the cape and umbrella but he seems naked without them. ...I'm sure some of you are now wishing he could naked through cast off.
The figure itself is nothing to get too excited about but that's how the men of Gintama have been with their poses from MegaHouse. Heck, all the Gintama releases by MegaHouse have the same pose! So, as you can see, it gets boring after a while. The painting looks good and quality is okay but MegaHouse really needs to start mixing it up with the poses because their releases are starting to get stale.
MegaHouse''s Kamui is retailing for ¥7,600 and will be available in June, 2012. Will Kamui join your stable of figures, seeking to fight the strongest of them or will you be keeping your distance from this killer?
