Quantum Mechanix have announced their latest 1/1-scale replica up for sale, and it's a metal-plated version of Malcolm Reynolds' pistol from Firefly. Molded from the stunt pistol actually used by Nathan Fillion on the series,
Measuring 14 inches from the tip of the barrel to the back on the hand-painted simulated wood grips, our Mal pistol weighs in at just over a pound, giving it a solid heft.
the 14-inch-long replica has hand-painted simulated wood grips, is cast in polystone and is metal-plated, painted and weathered to match the antique brass color of the official prop. The whole thing weights about one pound and comes with a display stand as well.
What's really cool is that it's pretty affordable: US$79.95 is all it'll set you back for this replica. Pre-orders are being taken now at the Quantum Mechanix store. It might not make you Nathan Fillion ... but you can at least feel like him!
