With Sen-ti-nel mostly pushing their poseable RIO:bone, especially at Wonder Festival 2012 [Winter], I forget that they dabble in static figures. As is the case with the latest pre-order of the popular little lady from Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai, Menma.
There's really nothing that stands out about this 1/7 scale figure. It's Menma again standing there looking cute and full of energy. Nothing we have not seen before from this lanky, little lady and her petite, stretched body of taffy by Kotobukiya and soon ALTER. I really don't have anything positive to say about this figure. With the quality of the figure and the lack of anything with her dress, this really doesn't need to be a 1/7 scale figure. 1/8, sure. It's plain, It's boring. It's, again, something we've already seen.
At a retail price of ¥7,429, I would say pass on Sen-ti-nel's 1/7 scale Menma. If anything, wait for ALTER's version because it actually offers more since it's more than Menma standing there looking cute. However, if you need to fulfill your obsession love for Menma, here's another option. This version by Sen-ti-nel will be available in July, 2012.
