Sadly, there was a lack of mecha garage kits this time around at Wonder Festival, at least those which weren't already tied into a video game title so the small number of mecha kits have been folded into the video game gallery where some kits of the mecha from Virtual On are placed. Also, Capcom may appear to have given up on their blue bomber mascot but the kit makers certainly haven't, at least not with Megaman Zero! And there's even a Sigma and X for good measure!
Aside from the mecha kits on display, the video game gallery shows us how quickly some kit makers get to work as we have Nepgear from Hyperdimension Neptunia mkII, which should be released in the west at the end of this month (I'm totally getting it, even though the first game kinda sucked). The touhou girls also make their presence felt as always, though I think we can all be glad that they have not taken over Wonder Festival like they have Comiket!! And we also get a healthy dose of Idolm@ster and fighting game characters on display as well.
My personal favourites from this gallery are Samus and Nepgear. I love Samus in general and Super Metroid is one of the greatest games ever made but I also find a lot of charm in Nepgear. Here's hoping her game is better than her older sisters! Also, for those of you who like the look of Kongiku from Oboro Muramasa, you might want to keep your eyes open for something at a later event...
